Neat video. super clear easy to understand. I was wondering if you will be making a video on how to use the GPIO pins and expanding the dial to work with a secondary microcontroller.. like an arduino or a another esp32 for example

interesting post: you are right that this is likely to be a 'slave'. At Matrix this is the direction we are going in for some of our products. At that point you need to develop an Application Programming Interface for the M5stack that is called by a host microcontroller. We do have that for an ESP and it could be modified, but we have no plans to do that ourselves.

Sure. The dial being a dual core and already tightly integrated with the touch display makes it ideal as the master. Unfortunately the lack of gpio pins kinda loads all the slave microcontroller.... Which is not that big of a problem. But I'm thinking that's going to be alot of back and forth.
I was also looking at the maTouch which is similar...but exposes a tx and Rx along with the ability to connent a slave.

"My colleagues are getting worried that I'm a little obsessed with the M5Dial..." - are your coworkers my wife? 😂

@@FlowcodeIDE she can only program people, not computers 😅
