@@GeorgeEI7KO yes George, I was really into the amateur side for a while but up here near Belfast if I used 2 meters there is a snobbery click that use the repeater which would sort of piss you off so I went back to 11 meters but then of course everyone up here can't have a qso without everyother word being f and c and I don't want my granddaughter walking into the shack and hearing that.... Maybe I'm to fussy but it's called amateur radio but I try to make it as professional as possible. Ah well..
My old 575 that i've fished out of a draw after 20 years sounds super quiet on my new radio even at full volume. Tried changing battery checking for dry or cracked solder. Could it be the capacitors have gone bad and causing the volume to sound like i'm speaking far away.
@@GeorgeEI7KO Hello George, dissembled and cleaned the tone and volume sliding potentiometer and re greased the slider still the same. Another thing is it sounds really tinny.
Hi buddy, wondering if you can help, I have the same mic, it got dropped on the floor, and now there is no audio coning from it, it keys up but no audio. Any ideas what it may be, if it's the cartridge, where can I get a replacement?
Best Mics ever made ~~!
Sure are
Thanks, George.
I have three of these little gems, just love them.....
Not heard from you in a good few year. Have you still the nice collection?

@@GeorgeEI7KO Just read that it uses the same element as a D104M6B so ill give that a try if changing the capacitors don't work

One of my favorite power mics running now on RCI 2995DX
Bel lavoro! Una domanda, ma la capsula del microfono di dx e' dinamica? Se si', potrei avere il nome e la sigla per ordinarla? Grazie!

Sorry bud. I've no idea where you'd get one.
