Hmm, Nicholas Scratch's name on the trophy suggests that Agatha’s son in the comics may also visit us on the show, or maybe it’s just a cool Easter egg?
1) It's pronounced Ch with a hard K like in chaos so: Kthon 2) It's an anagram: Andrew Ugo -> Wundagore 3) It's not Wanda who is dead. If she was dead, her spell would have been broken. She is wounded or in another reality which is why her spell is weakened and Agatha needs help breaking out of the spell. Besides, fans don't want her to be dead.
Haven’t Finished ‘WandaVision’ Before ‘Doctor Strange 2’? Sam Raimi Hadn’t Either “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” director Raimi recently told Rolling Stone that even he did not watch all of Disney+ series “WandaVision” before helming the film follow-up (in theaters May 6) involving Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen. “I never even saw all of ‘WandaVision’; I’ve just seen key moments of some episodes that I was told directly impact our storyline,” Raimi said. ”I’m not really sure what the ‘WandaVision’ schedule was or how it changed. I just know that halfway, or maybe three-quarters of the way into our writing process, I’d first heard of this show they were doing and that we would have to follow it.”
Given the first two episodes, Jac Shafer needs to be doing the Scarlet Witch movie. The first two episodes immediately brought me back to Wandavision, but then seamlessly shifted into a "what's next." This already feels like the best continuation of a character in the Post-Thanos MCU alongside Spider-Man and Loki.
I am shocked how good the show is so far. And I can already say that I would love this corner of the MCU to be its own thing. Give me a Wanda movie with all these witches!!!!!! I mean this could be its own franchise! With spin offs and $$$ And to release around fall. It just sounds like money to me!🤩🤩
I hope Vision Quest gets somewhat in the line of this show, basically the West Coast Avengers could easily fit this line of narrative 🤔 Get Wonder Man, Hawkeye II (Kate Bishop), maybe even a show for Gwenpool (Gwendolyn Poole), a movie for Scarlet Witch, etc. Basically a corner of the MCU where the stakes are more personal, with people with struggles, not exactly heroes, but with powers to juggle alongside their own wellbeing 🤣
Is it just me or is anyone else glad to be back in Westview? I love that they brought back the supporting actors. Would love to see even more of them. Hope we get to see the Gilmore Girls town with the gazebo at some point. Also, was anyone else wondering at first if Agatha was about to approach Dottie instead of "Mrs. Hart" to join the coven? I know there were lots of theories that she was a witch in WandaVision.
Yeah, the real name of “Dottie” has a last name of Proctor, the last name of a real person who was in Salem during that time. This made people theorize that she’s related to that witch, but it could obviously just be an Easter egg/reference instead of something literal
I watched both episodes last night. I think they did need the second episode dropped with the first. While the first episode was good and set up what Agatha has been doing and waking her up, the second episode really is what brought us our first tastes of what the show has promised. The fun, the witches, the creepiness… we needed both episodes last night and I can’t wait for more!
100%. What you said! Plus, I would not want to wait for the third week to actually be “on the Road”. Two episodes was the right way to do it. Though I also can’t wait til it wraps up and I binge the whole thing again with Halloween candy!
In my opinion, these first two episodes are the best thing Marvel's put out in YEARS. Probably the most fun I've had since "WandaVision" which shows how talented Jac Schaeffer and the "witches corner" of the MCU is!
The first two episodes were so fun! Liked the whole vibe of this show and even with the shadow of Wanda remaining constant, this show stands on its own too. Love the performances and looking forward to the layered mystery ahead
The outfit Grace! You’ve been on a roll this year despite the industry’s current downturn- it’s always a pleasure seeing you excited for a creation. Per your review - about to turn in with my family and watch these episodes 🕯️🪄🔮🖤❤
Just finished episode 2. Had a blast and the most D+ Marvel fun since Wandavision. Definitely a much stronger debut than the Acolyte - I don't think this show will receive the same reaction.
I thought it was adorable to know that FOR 3 YEARS the ppl of Westview (or should I say survivors) kept checking on Agatha, helping with groceries and stuff. But like, shouldn't they be maybe a little bit traumatized of her as well? Didn't Agatha almost destroyed the city during her fight with Wanda? I wouldn't wanna see either of these ladies again in my life lol
I loved this, and I wonder whether it’ll get more elaboration? My read is that they only knew “Agnes”. Agatha only arrived after Wanda’s Hex. They likely don’t know anything about witchcraft and magic. All they know about Wanda Maximoff is she killed a bunch of people in Lagos, some people might know that she “killed” Vision, and if it makes news in MCU, killed a bunch more people in Kamar-Taj. From what they saw, it may have even looked like Agatha was fighting to protect them from the witch who was using their bodies like dolls and hiding their children from them. They may even see Agatha as their heroic savior.
@@PetrichoromaThats true after wanda freed them they all scrambled and missed the final fight. And mostly without context probably just saw her as another one of Wandas victims. Also just goes to highlight how friendly and helpful the townspeople are. That in turn makes Wandas actions much more harsher that she took advantage of them in that way.
The way I interpreted it is that Agnes was a full on character imposed on Agatha after WandaVision. She can do normal Westview Citizen stuff on her own, until she started living the Mare of Easttown rip-off. When Agatha wakes up from Wanda's spell and runs naked to the neighbor: 1. John "Herb" Collins said she "wasn't herself" these past few days. (notice the yellow flowers must have been the police tape in the dream) 2. Agatha guessed "was it police crime stuff?" or something like that. 3. Herb then replied that's why they started checking up on her every now and then helping with the groceries and stuff. 4. Agatha realized it and started calling Westview characters out: Dottie/Sarah the Librarian, Phil/Harold the Chief of Police, Norm/Abilash the Jeweler. So it was just at that True Crime dream sequence that they started getting concerned and helped out Agnes...
Just in the first episode we got: a good detective drama, ass, sexual tension between Agatha and Rio, detailed explanations to events, Wanda teases, and solid premise for why they are walking the Witches’ Road.
I really enjoyed the 2 episode premiere, I've been sick for over a year, so I decided to treat myself, lit a candle, broke off a few pieces of chocolate, had some gummies, had a few glasses of wine and treated it like a movie event. It was a lot of fun, pleasantly surprised the episodes were longer than 30 minutes. This was a perfect followup to Wandavision and Multiverse of Madness, I love that the showrunner is embracing the messiness of Multiverse of Madness, picking up the pieces, and forming them into something new. Kind of like what Endgame did for Thor 2. I was also pleasantly surprised by Joe Locke, the trailer made it seems like he was going to be a stereotype, and this is the 1st thing I've seen him in, but he's a solid actor, I can see shades of what's to come from him.
Treat yourself again and watch Heartstopper. It’s another incredible ensemble cast with great writing, production design, and music. It’s doing a very specific, heart-on-your-sleeve, candy-sweet take on teen angst and friendship. If you like what it’s doing, you’ll love it.
The first episode felt exactly like Mare Of Easttown! The second episode had an iconic scene with all the witches singing The Ballad Of The Witches Road! So very excited to see which witches survive walking down The Witches Road through Agatha All Along!
Grace, I agree with you. This is AWESOME, I got my snacks, apple crisp machiatto and pumpkin pie and I was SO pleased. The first episode was so intriguing, I felt like I couldn't even blink.
I'm already in love with this show! I was sad when it ended 😢 This show feels like it could definitely be Jac Schaeffer's 6 they could very well be fixing what Multiverse of Madness broke.
I hope! One of the strengths of the MCU is actually bringing up threads open from a long time and tying them up, as Endgame did. This could fix exactly what Multiverse of Madness destroyed, the illusion of connectedness. (Still would need to fix Secret Invasion though 🤣)
Just finished episode one (coming back to this after 2) and I'm loving it- Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza's chemistry is amazing, the line delivery was fantastic and the atmopshere was perfect. And we get 9 episodes? What a treat!
Aubrey was as good as I expected, Lupone was more fierce than I anticipated, Zamata deserved this comeback because she's an incredible performer, and Rupp is so adorable, I could watch her doing the dishes!
100%. I hated seeing the hate for The Acolyte, but there were myriad valid criticisms for that show. If the same haters come for Agatha, as some are already trying to do, they’re just proving themselves to be hatemongers.
I felt so humiliated for Agatha, but was also cackling at the humour of it, when I realised she was driving a toy car all over Westview from inside her house.
I was so nervous about this show as a gay Wiccan fan, but I think it’s great, plus if Teen is Wiccan I like that they kept the “fanboy” aspect of him but switched it from the avengers to being a fan of witches.
this is literally the type of show i hoped you would enjoy, like f*ck i think you'd be witchy enough for their coven. and i'm glad you played into it with the hat, so iconic
This theory is even more plausible when you realize that Zamata’s character (the one dealing with lawsuits) asked Agatha “another child sacrifice?” When she saw Teen
I’m glad we got the first two episodes at once, since I think they really were both needed to setup the characters and story. Excited to see where the road goes next week.
I don't know if they had agatha get alittle emotional because of their connection in the comic as mentor and student but I like that reaction from agatha .
I enjoyed the first two episodes! Marvel actually set out to make a show this time instead of squeezing a movie into episode format. Really building up a return for Wanda too
Something just occurred to me…what if “teen” is Mephisto posing as Billy in an effort to get back the Darkhold at the end of the road. That would be kinda epic.
I dont think Teen has anything to do with Agatha's son. Her rabbit (Señor Scratchy) has to be her son. Jennifer alludes to Agatha sacrificing ANOTHER child. I think she sacrificed her son, Nicholas Scratch, who I think is now clearly her familiar, Señor Scratchy.
I think Kevin Feige underestimated exactly how popular and beloved Wanda became as a character in the MCU. Having her return would be as big as having Chris Evan’s Captain America return. Especially for women and the lgbtq+ community. If he wants audiences to be excited again, he needs to bring her back.
She will be back. But they'd be foolish to give her a full return in this show. It would surely be the biggest selling point of the movie, and I don't know why they'd limit their narrative options for that story by bringing her in too soon.
I had to stop the show when she said sisterhood of the travelling Kegel muscles - I was howling with laughter! This show has been SO SO SO GOOD so far!!! YAY
I loved the first 2 episodes, well more the second episode than the first, and I definitely think it’s way stronger than The Acolyte’s opening episodes, but I definitely think they made the right decision to release 2 episodes at once because I don’t think episode 1 is strong enough to stand on its own. I liked it and it reminded me a lot of Wandavision, but for prestige police dramas. However it spends too much of the episode there so only releasing one episode would’ve annoyed people because you’re making them wait an entire week for the actual plot of the show to kick off. Airing both episodes and having the entire coven assembled and them actually on the witches road after the first night allows people to be excited for the next episode rather than being annoyed they have to wait another 2 weeks or more for them to get to the actual bulk of what the show actually is going to be like. Maybe over a decade ago where broadcast TV was more prevalent and people’s attention spans were longer realesing just the first episode could’ve worked, but in today’s culture where binge streaming shows have made audiences more impatient, especially for streaming shows, it would’ve really tanked the show.
@beyondthetrailer Grace, Wong’s/ Dr. Strange’s disciple wasn’t the one who destroyed all the Dark Holds, which is why the copies in the library were all burned, it was Wanda. The disciple did destroy the one Wanda & Agatha originally had but Wanda told Dr. Strange at the end of Multiverse of Madness that she is going to destroy all copies in every universe and then destroyed Mt. Wundagore and herself.
2:16 While I do kind of agree with your take, Grace, about there being a bit too much to digest, I definitely think it was a smart decision to air both episodes. Not that I didn’t enjoy the first episode (I mean, how could I not with Aubrey Plaza?), but the second episode is definitely what got me hooked.
I jumped off my couch after watching the first 2 episodes to watch your review, made dinner then jumped back on my computer to watch this video and I am just so spoiled with new Marvel and New grace all night! Thank you so much for your coverage Grace seriously.
Definitely loved having 2 episodes. The first focus on a setup with Aubrey and the second the other setup of a coven. Glad it was spaced out but glad it was 2 at once.
Loved these 1st 2 episodes SO MUCH!!!!! Can't WAIT FOR MORE!!!! I love the double debut and about finally as a double! It totally looks like a M and W, on "teens" mouth. Wanda said to Agatha "IF I need you, I'll know we're to find you.". Think about that!
I loved both episodes. I know susan isnt the real hreen witch but i hope by the end she will have some semblance of magic. And billy being an emalgamation of both womans children would be chefs kiss
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but when Agatha claws her way out of the spell and she is in black and white, I’m pretty sure it’s the WandaVision theme with a much more sinister tone. A fun Easter egg I thought!
I squeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaled! Such a beautiful scene when they sing. This shows give the vibes of Midnight Suns game. IT IS SO SURPRISINGLY GOOD! My Hecate, so much talent. High caliber actors with a powerful script. What a phenomenal way to tell a story!
Just watched the first 2 episodes and the atmosphere was done so well. Gave us that haunting mystery vibe that I love so much. I’m truly excited to see more after the first two episodes. Hoping everyone is enjoying it as well. Edit: I have a theory that either Wanda “M”aximoff is behind that weird censoring spell over Teen’s identity or maybe it could be “M”ephisto as eluded to that M that covered his mouth?
Absolutely loved the first two episodes. Trailers mostly revealed what we would be seeing so far, but from now on it will be all fresh and thrilling. So excited for next episode!
Awesome Video Grace!!! As a Huge WandaVision Fan, I Loved These First Two Episodes!!! Kathryn Hahn is Perfect as This Character and I'm So Happy we're Finally getting to see more of Her!!! Aubrey Plaza was Great as Rio and Joe Locke was Fantastic as Teen I'm Excited to learn more about who He is. I Loved all The WandaVision references and easter eggs. This Show is Fantastic So Far and I'm So Excited to see What Happens Next!!!
I really hope so. It feels good to have faith in Marvel, and that they might be going back to understanding that what works is each corner having its own vibes and fan favorites, and then occasionally bringing all those fans together. For a while everything became blandly “MCU-flavored”. What we want is lots of different kinds of candy in our bag, all equally good - not all melted together into a yucky mess.
This has been the most invested I’ve been in marvel since wandvision and actually I’d say I’m more invested with this because it’s such a mystery and has my brain thinking of allll the theories and taking clues from everything
I think the underscore of Kathryn Hahns HILARIOUS performance as the detective cannot be missed. She was SO funny and it worked so damn well. I have no clue what to expect next for this show bit it will be phenomenal.
I was pleasantly surprised with the episode! It was so good! It really felt like a sequel to Wandavision in the best way. Mrs. Hart was definitely the MVP, I loved how she was going along
The first two episodes were really good. I knew I would love it but I am already hooked ! And I lOOOOOve the fact that Joe’s character is so sassy ! Plus the quick picture and “Boyfr” on his phone was just chef’s kiss! 😆 This is the queerest thing the MCU has done so far and I am here for it !
I was worried if Jac Schaeffer could recapture the excitement and weekly anticipation of Wandavision for Agatha All Along - but she has, and it’s so incredible to see 😍😈🔮🦇 loooooved this premiere
I loved that they quoted from the Wizard of Oz - “She’s really most sincerely dead” - Ding dong the witch is dead. From Agatha’s perspective Wanda is the Wicked Witch.
Even though I loved the first episode, I think for the general audience Episode 2 was needed to help with more set up and such. The first one is a bit of a whiplash to follow.
I like that they did the tv show theme and how they used the citizens. I wish I could see Agatha roaming around the house using her "car" and "places" but from the actual point of view and not from the spell
I really loved this. Although I know deep down its a Marvel show, for some reason this genuinely reminded me in the same way that Wandavision did being that it did not feel at ALL like a Marvel show and like it fell into the traps of Marvel and whilst I recognise there will be some things that probably will make it Marvel based, I am sincerely hoping we have that same tone for the rest of the series because my word it is very good. Kathryn Haan is just loving playing this role and the rest of the cast are phenomenal. I did like Joe Locke in Heartstopper but thought his performance was no more than cute. Until now - if anything to me his role is so transformative that I see a change in him playing a role that is intriguing and seems like a role that could be Agatha's undoing (Just for reference I've only seen the 2 episodes but that is my thought - I don't know why but there must be a big reason why he's not being allowed to tell all to Agatha and I don't think it's simply because he's Wanda's Son). Loved this and certainly this is going to be a fantastic show in the run up for Halloween. I feel more wicked having just seen the show.
It was a good solid story, not as spellbinding as WandaVision, but the respect given to modern day neo pagans, and that incredibly beautiful song is bringing tears to my eyes
I love it so much! So impressed by how Jac Schaeffer integrated Multiverse of Madness, elevating all of these projects. Reminds me of how Rian Johnson, while making Ep8, ignored JJ Abrams’s Ep7. Then JJ came back to make Ep9 without integrating Johnson’s Ep8. It left both movies feeling messy and kind of pointless. Schaeffer instead noticed that a talented professional creator accepts that for the audience, the middle can’t be ignored, and she makes Multiverse of Madness her own - so much that she kind of retroactively inserts respect for WandaVision into it. I was blown away by the genius of this! The library card/toe tag! Genius! Genius! Man, I wish JJ had done this kind of work to tie the new trilogy together. I loved Ep7. I still love all three “awakened” heroes so much. I really hope both Finn and Poe are in the Rey movie… This parallel is actually making me wonder if Jac Schaeffer is actually going to find a way to make Marvel’s multiverse era work by the end of Agatha All Along? Will Doctor Strange get referenced? Will the witches help America Chavez return home? I really hope Marvel has fully given Jac Schaeffer ownership over this corner of the MCU. She and her team really understand how to weave together what works, to cast a magical spell!
I haven't watched anything Marvel for a minute but AAA had the special sauce to bring me back. Thanks Grace, it's always great to share the excitement with you and the BTT community.
Kathryn Hahn was truly born for the role of Agatha Harkness. Her facial expressions are phenomenal, and she completely immerses herself in the character, which is evident in every moment on screen. She does an amazing job and brings a unique charm and energy to the series. The rest of the cast in the first two episodes is also great, with each actor adding something special to the overall quality of the show. I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds! Kathryn is simply a fantastic actress who shines in every scene. ❤️
I love this outfit Grace. I wasn't particularly interested but after your early review I just watched the premiere. I LOVED IT. The energy is from this cast is mesmerizing. It's the season of witch, WITCHES
Good catch, some of you, that "Andrew Ugo" is from Mt "Wundagore"!
im still why Agatha All Along???
So, is it an anagram?
Hmm, Nicholas Scratch's name on the trophy suggests that Agatha’s son in the comics may also visit us on the show, or maybe it’s just a cool Easter egg?
1) It's pronounced Ch with a hard K like in chaos so: Kthon

Time to redo Multiverse of Madness!!
It’s incredible what she did to make Multiverse of Madness work! Proof that this COULD have been achieved after The Last Jedi.
You can really feel and see her love, respect, and admiration for the characters ❤
It's good but marvel always has good first episodes. Let's wait and see the rest
I just watched it and liked it so much. I hope the MCU doesn't completely abandon these characters. Well those who survive the road.
Yep its good so far
Would love for them to do magical/witchy stuff alongside their hero’s
Im absolutely sold on Agatha All Along! I cannot believe how much I loved it. Now this is weekly appointment tv

If the same haters come for Agatha, as some are already trying to do, they’re just proving themselves to be hatemongers.
@@zenithquasar9623yeah ok
The Acolyte is a solidly entertaining show. Stop disparaging it
@@zenithquasar9623
You should probably take something for that
Literally just finished the episodes and this was posted... MAGIC! LOVED LOVED LOVVVVVEEEED THE EPISODES!!
I felt so humiliated for Agatha, but was also cackling at the humour of it, when I realised she was driving a toy car all over Westview from inside her house.
They didn't need to go so hard with the song. It's going to be divisive, but I'm obsessed.
Yes, I think they were really going for creating a new classic Halloween song.
I’m afraid that Agatha sacrificed her son for the Darkhold…
Oooooh… I actually hadn’t thought of that! Maybe he is quietly plotting his vengeance… Oh! You may be on to something!
I love how sad Agatha was that Wanda died. She even shed a tear! Then of course she gets mad and spits at her empty lot later on lol.
I don't know if they had agatha get alittle emotional because of their connection in the comic as mentor and student but I like that reaction from agatha .
i was there for every WandaVision video you released, and i'm so excited for another round of those vibes here. thank you for making these!!
Had this exact thought and was looking through comments to see if anyone else thought of it.
First two episodes were littt. Great outfit Grace 🧙🏻♀️
@@mildhoof I do believe the last shot will be red magic oozing out of some grave and then it’ll cut to black.
@@mildhoofWanda is in the Flickering Realm (Chthon's dimension). Chthon almost certainly "rescued" her. He resides within Wundagore.
Suffering from Covid these past couple days, but these two episodes made me forget it! Loved it so much
I had to stop the show when she said sisterhood of the travelling Kegel muscles - I was howling with laughter! This show has been SO SO SO GOOD so far!!! YAY
Best Marvel project so far for me. I am back to being a hardcore Marvel stan, they did it.
I really enjoyed these first 2 episodes and can’t wait to see how well the rest of the series progresses.
I’m loving it so far! The whole vibe has been so fun and I can’t wait to see where they go with it.
Kathyrn Hahn is a superior actor! deserves every accolade xx
AWWWWWW YESSSS GRACE WITH THE WITCH HAT. LOOKS SO GOOD ON YOU 🧙♀️
Grace is The Supreme
The girls who get it get it.
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but when Agatha claws her way out of the spell and she is in black and white, I’m pretty sure it’s the WandaVision theme with a much more sinister tone. A fun Easter egg I thought!
Andrew Ugo is WUNDAGORE
I love seeing the notifications for your videos pop up on my phone. I get so excited 😂🫶🏼
Witch Grace is something I didn't know I'd need.
Genuinely had a good time watching the first two eps. Im interested, lets see how it goes!
GRACE!!!!! I was feeling depressed today and this video cheered me up. Thanks! Keep up the great work
Just watched the first 2 episodes and the atmosphere was done so well.
I definitely saw “M” there, too. “House of M”? More like “Mouth of M”! Haha… ha… ha. 🥁
Absolutely loved the first two episodes. Trailers mostly revealed what we would be seeing so far, but from now on it will be all fresh and thrilling. So excited for next episode!
Grace, one thing that I thought was really important is that they call Rio: "Black Heart", which is also a Marvel villian.... could she be it??
I was thinking she’s Morgan Le Fey
@@ryno1509 I thought about that too... but it intrigued me that the said black heart twice
The first two episodes were PHENOMENAL
I loved the first two episodes. It has a feel of Disney Halloween original movies. Aubery Plaza stole the show.
So far, I think its amazing. I’m sure Marvel knows they can’t ruin this and went all the way down the witches road.
Absolutely loved the first two episodes and you weren't kidding that end credits sequence was pretty fun.
This show was made for Grace.
ITS WAS SO GOOD ! Chills all episode 1 and 2 ! The best Marvel show already!
The end credits and the show overall have strong What We Do In The Shadows vibes. love it!
Wow. Show was so good. I didn’t realized all of these Easter eggs
It was a good solid story, not as spellbinding as WandaVision, but the respect given to modern day neo pagans, and that incredibly beautiful song is bringing tears to my eyes
First two episodes are on fire. Omg!!! Aubrey Plaza is new witch mommy of MCU.
I really hope both Finn and Poe are in the Rey movie…
This parallel is actually making me wonder if Jac Schaeffer is actually going to find a way to make Marvel’s multiverse era work by the end of Agatha All Along? Will Doctor Strange get referenced? Will the witches help America Chavez return home?
I really hope Marvel has fully given Jac Schaeffer ownership over this corner of the MCU. She and her team really understand how to weave together what works, to cast a magical spell!
Honestly I'm fucking loving it, it's just my style of humor and gay shit
I haven't watched anything Marvel for a minute but AAA had the special sauce to bring me back. Thanks Grace, it's always great to share the excitement with you and the BTT community.
I definitely needed that second episode tbh, I’m intrigued to see where the show goes 💜🧙🏻♀️
I love how when Agatha rips down Teens “welcome” poster, the “w” letter is still there.
we’re definitely going to see some flashbacks of Agatha’s first journey down the road, we have to learn what she got
❤️
They're having fun, that's the biggest change
I love this outfit Grace. I wasn't particularly interested but after your early review I just watched the premiere. I LOVED IT. The energy is from this cast is mesmerizing. It's the season of witch, WITCHES
Right?! They already have a great chemistry!
