Funny how Hazeltine was cruel to Tiger’s pursuit of Nicklaus...runner up to Beem & Yang, of all people. I always said if he held on to that lead in 2009 he’d have the record by now. Yang played lights out, then 3 months later the scandal hit, then injuries
IF he would've played a shot better in one round at this tournament, he could've forced a playoff! If he would've played conservatively in 2009, he could've won. Unfortunately, this course got the best of him. Who knows what would've happened in an alternate scenario like that. 2009 was a benchmark for what was to unfortunately come in the life of Tiger...sad. If he takes the title in 2009, he could've done more in 2010-2011 as a golfer. Unfortunately the rats in the media destroyed him. I'm glad he was able to overcome his adversity and conquer his adversaries though!
I personally also think that the upright backswing is a lot more consistent than that modern Hogan swing thing that most instructors teach their pupils. Just look at Nicklaus and Montgomerie and Duval.
His drive, at 4:10 would have gone 400 yards with todays 2020 modern equipment!
Love how humble and naive of his greatness he is here. Just ab so lutely striping the ball
Hits it so pure! Unbelievable that he did not go lower. Thank you for uploading!

Great upload! Do you happen to have the final round? I still remember those 4 straight birdies Tiger made to close out the round!
My God I miss those days

Back when 128mph got you a 300 yard carry.....not like today where 120 will go further. RE: 4:08

He did not swing it at 128
🙌
Why didn't we see any putts being holed? That's the most important part of highlights.
Because approach shots is the best part of golf
Craig Shankland who was giving the golf tip is copying Count Yogi. You gotta have style when you play this game!
