Lover of Us All: Himig Heswita x Bukas Palad x Hangad

The writers of the Scriptures use images from their daily experiences to articulate God’s love. Examples of these include a mother’s constant remembrance of her child (as in Isaiah) and a husband’s fidelity to her wife (as in Hosea). God’s love is described in ordinary images maybe because ordinary images mediate to us God's unconditional love.
And so, in what ordinary ways do we experience God’s love in our daily lives? It might be through a sunrise ever constant in reminding us of a new day, or a friend who patiently listens to our rants, or the calm that we feel within us. In these experiences, we are sure that in the here and now, God whispers His love for us.
This year, four groups under the Jesuit Music Ministry commemorate milestones in their musical journeys. Himig Heswita celebrates their 40th Anniversary, Bukas Palad Music Ministry their 35th Anniversary, Musica Chiesa their 15th Anniversary, and of course, we are celebrating our 30th Anniversary through HANGAD HABAMBUHAY. Along with our brothers and sisters in JMM, we offer this song in love and gratitude to everyone who supported us along the way, most especially the One who continues to love and sustain us.
