Hi Namta, just wanted to share that your Swedish experience brought a smile to my face, because, like you, I thought I was complimenting my coworker that she was looking great after gaining a few pounds while on vacation..at least my coworker didn’t chew me out, but just exchanged glances with another coworker that alerted me to the fact that I insulted her somehow, so I apologized and explained to her that in our culture it was a compliment to look healthy & fresh. I too laugh at myself and share the silly mistakes I made with family and friends😀. Life experiences is your greatest teacher! So live & learn! Congratulations & Thanks so much for sharing. It will be a great help and encouragement for someone, somewhere, who is venturing out on their own for the first time. Our consecutive parents/elders don’t realize that they do more harm than good for keeping us sheltered!
