The color and curl definition were on point, for sure! I think you may have applied way too much product. I've not used this brand, but I have used the Mofajang and not had this issue. I layered it on top of Olaplex oil and Shea Moisture JBCO creamy leave-in as part of the LOC method. I applied way less and really rubbed/smoothed it in with the "praying hands" motion. I got good saturation, but no clumps or thick coating. Had great results, no issue with dryness, and only a little flaking during the initial takedown (I did finger coils). Hope that helps. ;)

The color is beautiful 😍 thanks for being honest about the flakes. Maybe I will try the gel instead. I really appreciated your video. Thanks ❤🎉🎉🎉

It's not too bad on short hair... but definitely dries out the hair. I loved the curl definition and used this product off and on for a few months. Am taking a break now. I'm not so sure about the long term use because I decided to dye my hair a light brownish color and this color made me realize where my hair had thinned out over the last few years but I'm not sure if the hair wax was a contributer. As I said I've only been using it for about 6 months I think, but not regularly. I think that it shouldn't stay in your hair for more than 2 days. I'll try it again and perhaps try some other brands.

thank you for sharing your experience. Def agree that the curl definition is there when it comes to this product but dries out the hair, a lot. I hope the wax wasn't a contributor to your hair thinning but to be safe, it's probably best that you're taking a break from it for a while. Based on my experience and your advice, I won't keep this particular product (from this brand) in my hair for more than a few days.

I used the color wax, but I didn't the color stayed on my hair once it dried. It didn't transfer onto my clothes or anything, so I am not too sure what happened. The color looks amazing on you, though, and your hair is gorgeous!

Thank you for sharing! This gives me hope of a brighter future LOL but seriously, I'm more willing to give it a second shot since you didn't have that experience.
Also, thank you for your kind words xoxo

The amount of shedding will most likely be because the product is not meant for a braid out and you used loads of it. it dries hard like a gel and you’ve created big solid masses of product and then broken them up when taking your twists down. I expect it would have been better if you’d applied it to your curls while you were taking your twists down. I definitely got a few unnoticeable bits on my collar after using but nothing like that. I think it works best with minimum manipulation i.e added s late in the styling process as possible.

This makes a lot of sense! I appreciate you breaking it down. I'll probably try it with a wash & go, using a different color, & I'll see how that goes. Thank you!!

It flakes. Wax gives a cast. Some colors flake a bit more than others especially depending on how heavy handed you are with it..... i always found it a bit drying. But it comes super easily (i don't mind it so much)

Hi Drusilla 👋 the color looks nice but I hate that it shed so badly. Your hair looked really u dry to me wasn't vibrant but at least you tried.

I agree w/ everything you said! MAYBE I'll give it a second go another time (and I'll use different hair products underneath) & I'm hoping for better results!

I use this product and I've never had dryness of shedding. I use my gels and moisturiser first then put the was on top then diffuse it on low heat to deal it in and my hair is so soft for weeks.

Me and my son have it in our hair right now we just put it in earlier today and oh my gosh it's so bright and beautiful I love it. I have blue and orange and he has purple and blue. It smells so good and is easy to wash out especially off of skin and head/hair. I don't have any signs of flaking and I have had it on since 1:30pm but we'll see. I don't know what you mean by shutting your hair looks perfectly fine LOL just need to add a little bit to the parts that don't have it. It's a styling temporary dye hair gel/wax and makes hair very curly. I wish I could post a picture. 12:09

Hi appreciate the video..what was the other brand u mentioned that didn't transfer? I've used As I Am and Curlsmith color hair gel and both have me vibrant color curls but that damn color transfer drove insane...it was on my headrest in my car, in my bonnet on my hands if I touched my hair 😑

    • @DrusillaShay

It went everywhere, huh? Sounds about right!! 🙃 the other brand I mentioned was Mofojang. I didn't experience any transfer with that one.

I dont think this is supposed to be applied to twist. You are supposed to let it air dry in your hair's natural state. That's why yours flaked so badly because you pulled the wax apart by untwisting
