Simple rule. Never get involved in some complex problem of someone you've just barely met!
You came to buy a camera lens, end of story.
You would be surprised how easy it is to take advantage of good natured people. I couldn't pull these scams off myself, I would feel too much guilt for fucking people, but some guys do it every day without flinching.
olskoolnewpaint - Guilt isn't a problem for me, but karma is haha
kamma44 This channel is so fucking stupid anyway, they all seem so fucking fake if you fall for any of these and actually give people money straight out of your fucking wallet then you are stupid
@@platinumpineapple9943
Wow..what is WRONG with you? I hope someday you learn kindness and empathy. You clearly are soul-less, clueless, and just plain mean right now.
His gasp when she said she found the USB.
Polly is so cute the way she got up and said is this yours ?
Lol at the dude waiting for 40 minutes.
If they were really good the conman would have had lunch and left the mark at the table to pay for that too!!...
Savage
That's what I was thinking lad cheers
Have been watching these vids the past days, I have trust issues now, thanks.
moral of the story.. always be a douche and not help anyone out under any circumstances even if their entire life depend on a favor just laugh in their face and go on with your life.
jackel142 yes dude this lady banged $10 off of me for a taxi fare
Moral of the story, always check the bag once they leave
you can help people just not be dumb, don't pay large amount of money on others behalf
The moral of the story is to never get in over your head. To risk more money than you can afford to lose.
He was buying a camera lens for fuck sake thing he can afford it and jackel142 your a fuckin' idiot!
BUT!!! He got a Laptop Bag
Yeah 3 box from china
And a USB stick.
Bahahaha
And a useless fob.
He got a laptop bag worth 40 dollars in stores he got a USB stick 10 dollars worth and a book and a package so in reality he only lost 50 dollars
He was a really nice guy. Too nice lmao
Its a coincidence all the targets are called Mark, lmao😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Polly is hot. That is all.
Oh yeah...good scam.
Jess is prettier
What scam?
Everything was staged. Everyone knows the faces of this crew
Either one can sit on my face.
@@g00glechr0me8 wouldn't have handed her the phone but would defo let her sit on my face!
Amazing how that girl didn't hear the guy freaking out quite volubly about his lost USB stick. Also, this is just a variation of the lost ring scam.
Whether she heard or not is irrelevant. She found the USB stick *after* he left, under her chair. She had no reason to be involved until that point.
"that girl"? She was part of the scam
She was part of the scam
The clincher for me in this situation is when he said he'd knock 60 quid off the camera lense. Not that I'm proud of it but I'd have defo fell for that as it'd have hit my sweet spot to get the item I came for much cheaper.
If the laptop was 210 quid, and he paid the women 100, why say knock 60 off when he could’ve just said I’ll give it to you for 110 then because 150 would mean he’d pay 190, which means he’d really only be knocking off 20? I just wrote all this down and forgot what I was talking about lol
All these scenarios seem like a lot of time/ work for such a small amount of money
+Jack Jameson how'd you know how to pronounce my last name haha
Let me guess: it's pronounced "Raymond Luxury Yacht".
And a lot of money spent in props and the like.
£2 USB stick £5 bag. £free packaging/leaflet
£93 profit
Post numerous ads, set up appointments all over the city, 15-20 minutes per scam
.. seems pretty profitable to me.
Really? Try earning that kind of money honestly with the same amount of time.
Always pretend you don't have money and it will be fine
That’s it ! I’m not trusting anyone in public.
I didn't even see the laptop switch...nice
dogs and love makes purity
Wouldn't it be easier to say yes when she asks "Is this yours?"
I would say yes then wait for the guy to come back and try to trade it for the lens
I would have checked the laptop bag and asked that girl if she single
They did this same scam with an envelope with rent money and he lost it but a begged found it and wanted money for it
Just don't be greedy, and you will be fine.
Another person who’s parents named him
“The Mark”
this is why i only carry cards, and not cash.
He's brought cash so that makes him, "The Maaark"
Doesn't he get he is sitting there with no lense, no seller, and out the money. Are people really that gullible?
Ingenious........for a whole 100 dollars....worth the risk...bernie madoff must be laughing watching this out of his cell...."this is a hustle?" "I hustled billions out of ppl"
I wouldve been suspicious when the girl said she couldnt wait 10-15mins for 100, who wouldnt wait such a small amount of time to get so much
Arthur Arstamyan someone who had to get back to work
It's sad to see good people getting scammed
Its almost always honest and good people who get scammed. The interesting thing is that online scams do sometimes result in suicide. The victim loses life savings during an already fucked up period of their lives and that's enough to trigger a series of thoughts bringing the victim to end their lives.
If I'm the mark, I'd juz tell the girl that there is no way, and tell Alex that I had given the girl 100 pounds
mr book ...and when he asks for his USB stick, then what?
Think he meant there was no way he could give her the money. So she wouldve still given him the usb stick since otherwise it would be stealing
But he doesn't come back regardless so when do you tell him that...
That's a good idea lol.
Personally, I'd have just told him on the phone that if he was coming back soon, she can just wait if she wanted the £100 so much.
Well, I'm sure a person who shipping an empty product boxes on ebay (internet) is getting way way more than that.
But this show are actually teaching us that a lot of way for getting fooled & scammed and hope that we all can avoid that even if it's only a penny/dime. 😊
Everyone likes to think they are smart and would not fall for these scams. i usually watch these videos and laugh about how dumb the people in them are, but this one I could actually see working on me.
Every one of these videos involve fronting money.
Don't front money and you don't need this video series.
It also involves a hot chick asking for them to front the money-another key item in the scam lol
this is awesome show
3 youtube vids deep and my fave part as when polly speaks at the end
That's Jess not Polly. Polly was the girl acting at the coffee place. Jess was in the studio. Jessica Jane Clement. She's a tasty little trumpet.
Dressed in a suit, works in film pr is very busy. But wants to sell a 350q camera lens lmaooo .
"A USELESS FOB!"
This guy - 2000 something.
i just love ur videos ....
The "mark" would have just stolen your bag and left not giving a shit.
when you go for an interview and your interviewer is on drugs
I don't think I would've fallen for it as I'd have known that she was sitting there the whole time... how could she not have overheard the entire conversation? I'd therefore be expecting her to know that the USB stick wasn't mine. Strange to the way she exposes her armpit like that... quite obvious she's using her sexual presence to try distract him. I wouldn't even handed her the phone. I wouldn't be expecting here to walk off with my phone, but it's just another barrier you need to hold in place.
If I were the con man, I would have definitely said I'd give the mark the camera lens for free! He'd think to himself that he's getting something worth 330 quid and only has to run the risk of putting down 100 for the usb.
P
H
I would give my money to her 😂🔥
Only a very stupid person will fall for that.
A lot of these scams are so much effort for so little cash
Did anyone else realize the guy gave someone £100 Quid for a £60 Quid discount?
It sounded like he said 60.
He did £60 off the lens he was never going to sell and didn’t even have!
I’m from from the city and have lived in a city for my whole life and I can tell you that no one from a city would fall for this at all. When he left his laptop in front of a stranger was a huge red flag, no ones that stupid. Also if it’s too good to be true then it’s to good to be true
*no one's that stupid
who'd be so dumb to fall for this nonsense?
You
You.
He could have also Left the mark with the drink bill. Or food bill too !
He was there first..
I'd say "common lady just give it to me for free, it's not yours and there is no use for you, just be a good person and give it back"..,, I'd Shame her ....
He seems like a nice guy
Lot of work for little return and risk. 1. Ad to get Mark for lens. 2. 100 quid for 2 people. 3. Laptop bag. 4. USB stick. 5. Phone # used in con.
2:57 if phone was on speaker he would have failed. He mentioned her name, yet she never introduced herself.
no he didnt
Really surprised he didn't check the laptop bag
Did they give back the money ?
Did anyone think it said "The lost job"? Lol
This scam is more likely than some of the other ones I have seen although I see 2 problems. 1 The cloud makes USB's obsolete. 2 Cash is becoming obsolete so what are scammers going to do when people do not use cash? Honestly I have seen garage sales that have square readers. Lets try this scam with a card reader. LOL I wonder how that would work.
I wonder how many people this fails with before they find a mug.
At least he left with a high quality laptop bag
Omg the background music is stylo by Gorillaz...
It's BT - Rose of Jerico
***** song at 6:00 is definitely BT - Rose of Jerico
+Mikey Grunshaw liar
Omg ik i was like BRUHHHH
Do they give the money back?
Honestly this is a ton of work for little amount of cash
is tHAT FUCKING STYLO IN THE BACKGROUND
YeS
Do people get there money back in these vids
No, they keep it
+TheGreatSheikh
Yeah, it's the REAL Hustle. Duh.
+Alienekkubus they are stealing legally, they found a loophole in the law
+_laura.xox_ no offense but when people say, how do people fall for these scams, i would point to people like yourself and say, if he had to ask the question on do people get their money back (when this is tv show) then their is your answer on how people fall for scams like this..... stupidity...
FOB? Thumb Drive or Forward Operating Base?
Just say yes its mine. If she wont hand it back, it doesnt matter its not your problem.
Even if it wasnt the guys you could give it to the manager
Do they give the money back
Paulie Jess 😍😍😍😍
They're money is funny looking.
Joe Momma The notes have been dipped in plutonium.
Its Scottish Bank notes
Wait, the offer Alex suggested was the mark give her £100 and he'd take only £60 off his purchase? That right there is not a good deal.
No, he'd take the 100 quid off the lens as well because the mark has paid it to Polly as a reward (which Alex was going to do anyway when the mark pays him).
So 300 pounds lens minus 100 and minus 60 = 140 he has to pay.
Great variation on the lost ring honey pot grift
I hope the usb is just a gif file of the scammers just giving the mark the finger.
lets forget the brotherhood,
The best part about this video is that I found out that UK ppl call a usb stick a fob lol
I'm from the UK and it sounded weird. In my parts it is a USB stick.
Oh Stylo
I would have checked the laptop bag first
Geeze Polly is as hot as Jess!!!
So's Alex!
The music in this sounds like the music from the spec offender shuffle video
Too much work for little money. 100$/scam.. how many scams like this these 2 can pull ? Have to change spots all day.. every day..
Ok best scenarios.. they can do 5 of them in 8 hours..
500$ in a day, minus the cost for bags and transportation.. They are a duo.. so about 200$ each.. in 8 hours of work.
That's like.. really low. Get a real job.
what if the target said the USB was his ?
Then Polly could claim that she had overheard them, and knows that the USB stick belonged to the PR guy.
He would have to describe what it looked like.
How much are the empty bag and the fob? That’s the cost to the scammer...
That's how I was rip off £250 by a conman who sold me two bottles of water and a carbox in a laptop bag, instead of an Apple Mac Book. I felt so stupid to have fallen a victim of such scam and not used my common sense. It's preferable to be buying goods where it's legal to do so and knowing that your customer's rights are protected. Handed cash to complete strangers for the purchase of goods, is a criminal act that feeds into the black market. I have learnt my lesson the hard way and if it looks too good to be true, I will never be part of the scam. Even if you don't have the money right now, there are always second hand shops. Who knows, it could have been a real laptop, but a stolen property and I would have been in big trouble with the Law and my conscience would have never been at rest. Watch out and use your brain people! Greadiness can make you lose more than you bargain for.
"It's preferable to be buying goods where it's legal to do so and knowing that your customer's rights are protected. Handed cash to complete strangers for the purchase of goods, is a criminal act "
Is it actually illegal to buy things secondhand in the UK? Obviously if they're stolen sure, but if someone is legitimately finished with some item, you can't buy it? That doesn't sound right
😂😂😂
TH-cam is being a bitch with the ads lately
scamming kind people. Why? do you even give them an award or do you just rob them?
Would have been funny if the mark had fake money. Trying to scam the scammer
What is that last outdo song?
Do they give the money back to the mark?
Yes
+Calvin Man Of Course
No they keep it. Even after he files a police report and this airs on natonal tv with thiets names and pictures wIting to be arrested.
be even better with a broken lap top lol
Showing people how to pull a scam
Awesome u guys are amazing at scamming
Shook
That's just sad
Why is everyone on this show called Mark?
These shows discourage trust, in honest people, and contribute to society's overall decline, giving education to some, and breeding criminals
Greed. One of the deadly sins!😉
Fob?
Got to talk to Polly - that’s worth 100 easy
It’s patched
I'd be ain't u that geezer off that show on BBC
