I got into coaching in 2009 when Malzahn came to Auburn (with me being an Auburn fan born and raised here)and broke all kinds of records. His run play action offense was unstoppable until around 2014. If its without a Cam or Nick Marshall its just about dead. I worked with a former receiver in his offense and he said a play called Dekota worked all the time. X runs a post, H runs and out and up wheel. If the safety cheats down on the post, he throws the wheel. If the safety leaves space in the middle, he throws the post. He counters that with a post double move after he hits it 3 times.
That’s a nasty play. Almost like the Air Raids 93
Coach McKie Yeah he also said his playbook is nasty. But he doesn’t know how to run it. Being a fan of Auburn that is actually true. Vs Clemson in 2016 he actually brought out the old triple spin series running buck sweep and counter from single wing lmao on ESPN! I was like yeah, he’s a purist like Leach is with the Air Raid. Tried to find it. 3rd qtr with 14:20 left is when he was running it 😂
Malzahns initial years at auburn.. that run game was literally legendary.. no one talks about it but he literally dominated teams w the run and it was profound

What program are you using for this?
Hey coach. I was under the impression that the air raid is suppose to be about short throws, like the west coast offense. I have been following you a while and notice that you scheme alot of deep throws. Is my thinking method too Air Raid. 1.0?
There are deep shots as well coach. The short throws are like run plays in the Air Raid. But every now and then you want to throw the ball down the field.

To keep it simple, I'll be installing shallow and run it out of ace. If I want to get to this play, i'll just jet motion the slot. Other than that, this looks like the same play. Thoughts?
You can run this play with jet motion out of 2 x 2.

I don't understand Air Raid in high school. Wouldn't running the flexbone triple be the best HS offense?
No such thing as "best" at a certain level. Run what you know and will fit your student athletes.
The Air Raid is similar to the flex one. They’ve got numbers in space.
I’d say run what you can teach.
