    To be honest this has to be one of the greatest fs descriptions videos/run in years.
    I’m sick and tired of looking at games like mud/snow runner and looking at the physic’s of the ground and nature in the game and then turning my head to FARMING SIMULATOR and wonder oh why are they trapped in 2018 with there physic’s/ ground deformation.
    It’s been the same thing since 2018-the release of fs19 AKA the same shit as FS 25. GET EXPERIENCED MODDERS IN THE FRONT SEAT OF THE GAMES DEVELOPMENT giants needs to put more time and money in to REALISM OF THE GAME, AKA THE TRUE ENGINE, NOT JUST ADDING MORE LIGHTING OR A FEW MORE TRACTORS, I hope you guys out there under stand where I’m coming from.

  • @Delphinus-Keya
    @Delphinus-Keya วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    I used to play FS 19 on PS4 from release, and it could have been a mod but I vividly remember seasons and snow and plowing the snow. Yet everyone talks about and mentions how FS22 was the first time seasons have been seen in Farming Simulator. I then took a long break, bought a PC, and wanted to get FS 22 on the PC. But they wanted $130+ USD for the Premium Edition, which I thought was crazy. I heard FS25 was coming out soon, so I looked back into it and saw the $50 base price and $80 year-one bundle price. Which isn't bad for a new game. So I looked into what is new and the only "New" things I saw were a few new crop types. I also noticed that Giants reduced FS22 price by about $20 USD across the board, making the Premium Edition $95. Steam and 3rd party sites have since had the Premium Edition on sale for as low as $30. So seeing all of that FS25 just feels like a cash grab. I just feel like the market sales for FS had begun to stagnate, so they needed a reason to be able to charge full price for a game.
    Final note I am not a modder but I watched modders bring forestry, mining, and probably seasons to FS19 with great success. As well as watching numerous FS19 mods get turned into FS22 features so it just feels like Giant lets modders make anything they want, and submit to Giants for "approval" to be put on the in-game mod hub. For them just to essentially copy the code and add it to the newest upcoming version to make it seem like they did something. But I only see them doing the bare minimum. Want an example? Go look and see how many rollers are in the game, or vehicles under the car tab. Then compare to the available mods in those categories. Or my personal favorite if you include the Platinum Expansion, the total amount of chainsaws. I'll save you that last trip, the exact same chainsaws that have been in every game since FS 17. They didn't even add a new brand.

    I haven't played FS22 in over a year primarily just because I got bored with the graphics quality and overall, somewhat cartoonish feel of the game compared to other games such as NBA 2K, Far Cry, Snowrunner, etc and decided to just wait for the FS25 release to get back into the game. Like you said I also love the game and enjoy the farming side of FS.
    Honestly, I have been anxiously awaiting the release of FS25 over the past year but have not been following the release updates due to other priorities, this morning I decide to check out the latest TH-cam videos and was shocked at what I was seeing, my heart sank, I thought I either had a bad internet connection or the videos were of old FS17 gameplay.
    I share your thoughts on this new release, nothing has changed other than adding new maps, equipment, animals. Was really hoping for real change to the engine and I'm now left sadly disappointed.

    I made a comment but earlier but I deleted cuz I didn’t like the way i wrote it so here we go. I LOVE this game, I farm real life and enjoy the work at every moment. If you’re going to make a game based upon a real world way of life then you need to be as authentic and realistic as possible. It is the same game, not much has changed and I am tired of the other side of the equation saying that we over here are haters (Yes I am looking at you DJGoHam/Farmer Cop). I know a big sukup when I see one and it ain’t flattering. All in all I really hope that Giants realizes at this point that relying on modders to “fix” the game is bad marketing strategy.

    • @FDRLogging
      @FDRLogging  วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I would love that if it was the case, I think the issue from my perspective as a modder is we are very stuck with this engine as is, it hasn't really developed an extreme amount in any significant way over the past 2 games.
      So even the best modders and mappers out there are given the same base tools and are limited to create within this games basic template. The only way this will be correctable will be a major overhaul to the engine with new dynamics or a new engine entirely cause the current one is barely keeping up with modern game standards.
      I hope for the best for the future development of this game but were kinda hitting a real plateau now.

      Then why not do like 90% of other update type titled games, ats, ets, and push out updates for these changes, it doesnt warrant a whole new game to gain the stuff shown in the video above, in my opinion.

People sometimes read into things to stir the pot. I agree with your points it is the same engine they just updated to version 10.1 i think . If giants would only bring farm sim something like gold rush - farm sim combo that would be cool, farmers and loggers sometimes need to move dirt around to make fields and roads and upgrade to allow that type of gameplay would bring the game to a different level.

    I have to agree with you totally. Every new release is disappointing, but there's usually something significant enough that I'll buy it. Usually, I buy multiple copies so I can set up a server at home. FS22 I own 3 copies, I've never set up a dedicated server. This year, I saw there's an Asian map, and I ordered collector's edition. I'm definitely going to buy it on Steam too. I'm willing to keep buying even though I've been disappointed repeatedly. Manual transmissions in 22 suck, so I don't use them. Skid steer loaders and tracked excavators/tree harvesters suck even more, and Giants knows what's wrong with how they handle, but they don't fix it. I don't know the technical challenge that is stopping them, but it's very frustrating when other games have these systems working. Construction Simulator is not a great game series in my opinion, but they DO have working tracked equipment. Why can Astragon figure it out, but Giants, a much more successful studio can't?

    I've been with FS since FS15 and honestly the biggest leap I think the series has had was probably between FS17 and FS19. FS22 was mostly graphical changes with a step back by incorporating some of the "Seasons mod" stuff into FS but not the stuff that made Seasons really fun. FS22 graphical is nice a bit nicer than FS19 but not really "new version" worthy of improvements. I have seen updates in other games that have had a larger impact on graphics. Yeah, I am not buying FS25 because honestly there is no point. I play both FS19 and FS22 both still and unless there is a major ground breaking improvement on the gameplay mechanics, which I doubt there will be. There is no point just to get a "bump" in graphics. People need to get it out of their heads that better graphics = better game. No, better gameplay mechanics = better game to hell with the graphics.

      But since then we have definitely hit a plateau and the repurchasing doesn't seem necessary based on the lack of quality value in development
      The only honest reason I'm going to 25 would be to have access to the logging equipment that's offered in the premium expansion that way we will be able to manipulate and use base game stuff for logging if that wasn't the case I would not be going to 25 at all
