I think we now like them because we understand what they are singing about - we have had our own share of their Poetry. Secondly, it reminds us a lot - so we can relate, not with the message perse but with events around the time when we listened to this music - mostly by coincidence. Personally, it brings back memories of my parents, my childhood and a lot more good stories , those days when we paid no expenses.

The then political bigwigs in the UPC government blew steam out of their nostrils...because its poetic message rhymed well with the ongoing Museveni bush war. I met a daughter of this late legend at my church congregation. Amazingly, she was lead tenor in the church choir. I was saddened when she told us she never saw her father.....both have such wonderful voices!😊
