Ville Valo also sings backs on some 69 eyes songs, and Jyrki sings at some HIM songs. They are friends, so they don´t make big deal about that. Told that at some Finnish magazine. We´ve seen them at each others gigs many times. We love both bands :) I love 69 more, my husband HIM more, but both like both :)

The rock legend Jim Morrison has inspired artists of all times.......The song has got a strong connection to Morrison's last hours and also to his nickname 'The Lizard King'.....I do think that 'Wasting the dawn' is a tribute for Jim Morrison.
I found this song back in 2006, because ville valo helped with vocals I believe and put me down an entire rabbit hole of bands from Finland, many of them I still listen to today. America can't compare with this genre of music 🖤🖤🖤

One of the most epic songs from The 69 Eyes! I had to listen to it more than once to really understand who and what they are talking about. There's so much meaning behind the lyrics though!. ...i don't wanna hear anybody say they're "The Doors" or "Type O Negative" wanna-be's...they have their own style, not only that they've been out almost as long as Type O Negative.....Long live Finnish Goth n Roll!

I was working on one of my paintings and needed a good background music, and this tune was so amazing and inspiring that I just put it on repeat and now I found out that I let the loop play for over hour and a half.

The best thing with The 69 Eyes was definitely that singer Jyrki 69 was actually able to sing this deep also on stage. There are many singers with deep voices that are not able to sing so deep on live as on the album. Sadly they did only 2 good albums (Blessed Be & Paris Kills), rest of the albums have some good songs but are mostly garbage. This song is definitely one of my favourite The 69 Eyes songs.

this is an awesome song. I acually like only few 69 eyes songs. This one, brandon Lee, the chair, and dance d'amour. But this one is the best. Totally gothic spirit. You can feel it. And the vocals are awesome. And the melody
Not only is music still good but music is still subjective. Over saturation of bands and newer social platforms make it harder to find gold these days (I'm only 25 so I can just shut up if you want), I just feel like good tunes like this are timeless and it's great that people are keeping quality art alive. :) But that doesn't mean there isn't amazing stuff being created now, just gotta sift through a lot more. :)
This has never been really my music, but I remember the times my mother and I were watching a rock/metal channel at night, and this video always appeared there. My mother passed away, but this is kind of a memory of her. She liked this band.

This song really does capture both the 80's and 90's. Sounds like the Sisters of Mercy mixed with Type O Negative. Shame its not like this anymore.

This has never been really my music, but I remember the times my mother and I were watching a rock/metal channel at night, and this video always appeared there. My mother passed away, but this is kind of a memory of her. She liked this band.
