Welcome to Broome! It’s a spectacular natural landscape of turquoise waters, white sand and red ochre rock embedded in a fascinating pearling history. Our 23nt stay allowed us the opportunity to relax and explore many of the attractions in and around Broome-
* Matso’s Brewery: A tasting paddle with a range of specialised ginger beers accompanied our lunch order (yum) 🍺
* Pearls, Pearls, Pearls: We learned about Broome’s pearling industry and browsed the plethora of jewellery shops💍We even checked out the world's largest fine-quality round pearl! 👀
* Roebuck Bay: We were elated to jag a prime waterfront site at the caravan park and took the opportunity to witness the ‘Staircase to the Moon’ natural phenomenon 🌅
* Broome Port Jetty: We tried fishing at this popular spot (a few times) … but no luck!
* Cable Beach: A popular place with its pristine white sandy beach. We enjoyed the panoramic views of the iconic Cable Beach sunset. And of course, we couldn't miss a morning ride on a friendly camel 🐫
* Gantheaume Point & Beach: We had some luck with a bit of land-based fishing🎣and admired the gorgeous sandstone rock colours and formations.
* Willie Creek: We took a day trip out to this location, but a slight mishap resulted in an experienced vehicle recovery specialist being called to action 😮
