I really like this knife and sheath. I carry it outside the waist band between my belt and pants except I reversed one of the straps so one buttons down over and one up over my gun belt. I've been carrying it this way for a year, support side, 8oclock and it works perfectly regardless of my shirt type. Great design Mr. Swanagon. This method of carry and the size of the sheath don't interfere with the other blades in my pockets nor a backup IWB pistol. I do need to slide the position on my belt to 7o'clock to accommodate a support side firearm but it's really no problem at all.
I bought that knife because of your review. It's my EDC and I take it camping. Love the hell out of that knife. My only complaint is how aggressive the coating is on the blade. Used some emory cloth to knock it down a little. Excellent video. Thanks!
Just realized we didn't get a close up picture of the blackout.. lol. I got one in my lap now I wanted to compare the scales to. Mine almost look more greenish grey than black when all the other pics I've seen are solid black. They must oil them up really good first before they take the picture.
My next knife purchase...it looks just like my favorite "small" knife, the discontinued Kromer designed CRKT Carcajou...this is in a whole different class however...
It's unfortunate that he didn't seem too enthusiastic to be interviewed. But he clearly realized it's best not to waste an opportunity to promote his design. Seems like a really good design too. Just not for me.
