In few cases, I have seen even the Jain gurus don't give sanyasa deekshaa so easily. They test the disciple extensively and make him/her understand all the challenges he/she has to undergo after taking deeksha. I think mother/wife/husband should give approval..

Diksha should only be taken when one has full understanding of Jainism and has decided to renounce the world. The children have not really understood this level of knowledge and it is really sad to see this happening . Their parents have not taken Diksha themselves, but have brainwashed their children to do this. You do not achieve Moksh by doing such rituals, but it is important to gain true knowledge by studying and understanding Jainism .
Jainism is the oldest religion in the world, based on the teachings of Ahimsa(Non-Violence) or reverence for all living beings.
There is NO creator .The universe is eternal and the earth we live in , is just a small spec in comparison . Non-Violence, Truth, Celibacy, Non-Stealing, Non-Possessiveness are few of the main beliefs. The Jain cuisine is completely vegetarian and also excludes underground vegetables such as potato, garlic, onion etc, to prevent injuring small insects and microorganisms, and also to prevent the entire plant getting uprooted and killed. There are about 4 million Jains in the world. Their aim is to achieve liberation of the soul (becoming God themselves ) by not being born again in another body. Jains believe this can be achieved through a life devoted to non-violence,compassion and the rejection of possessions. It does NOT derive from Hinduism, Budhism or any other faiths. It’s always been there since time (forever). Beside the 24 Thirthankers , 608 souls achieve Moksh every 6 months. They are all Gods - They achieve eternal peace and can know the past ,present and future if they want to - but they have no desire to.

Very Interesting. I do admire that little boy for his sacrifice!
But I am curious about something. Is this decision solely his own or is this some sort of obligation fulfilled by families in Jain society where one son in a family is expected to become a monk and he is groomed to be one from his birth and then later leaves his family when ready ?
This is his own solely decision. No one has rights to force anyone for Diksha!

@@vinayavenkatesh9828 yes, a person at age of 8 years gets understanding and when he/she gets to know the complete meaning of jain diksha by parents and family. they also spend years in regular practice of that saiyam jeevan, and then they decide to finally take diksha

I couldn't understand that how this religion which abstain from cultivating grains citing following Ahimsa, can
allow that children to waste that much rice.
2nd- The age when the child could not decide even which career would be his future, deciding to pursue this huge path. (May be he is fascinated with respect,love that people & his own family give to jain sadhu. )
