Just as you said that our presence in your lives keeps you from feeling lonely, your presence in our lives, Shinichi and Satoshi, does the same for many of us. I'm alone here and wasn't up to decorating or cooking this year, which is okay, but your invitation to Christmas dinner in your beautifully decorated home gave me the festive feeling and sense of family I was missing. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the things you are grateful for. I am glad that everone i know is healthy and safe. We (unfortunately not all) have quite safe jobs, work from home most of the time (we have a home! which is nothing to take for granted) and we still have the chance to decide what to do with our lives. These minor restrictions like wearing a mask, keeping some distance etc are nothing (please do not say "social" distancing - it is "spatial" distancing. We have to keep some space between us but socially we should be as close as possible). I am happy to have time to spend in my studio painting and making sculptures and that I can got outside to take photographs whenever I want. We are really privileged people. I thank all of you out there who keep everything running as good as possible. Thank you to the guy from DHL who came twice to our house yesterday (24th!) to make sure that everone gets his Christmas parcels. Thank you to all people working in hospitals, homes for the elderly, disabled and lonely. To those taking care of the homeless and hopeless. And finally let us not forget all the hundreds of thousands who are threatened by wars or injustice all over the world - the many refugees, the many who lost everything. I wish all of you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Near. ❤

Immense respect to the brave doctors, nurses, other workers, even the ones whom we do not acknowledge, like electricity maintenance workers, street sweepers, toliet cleaners, etc. Those who departed from us due to COVID-19, may they rest in peace. The situation we all find ourselves in this year, has been made so much easier to cope with because of channels like yours. We've been able to travel around the world (my favourite is Japan) while sitting in our own homes. We've seen things we probably wouldn't have, had this not happened. For those of us that are willing to learn, we have gained so much knowledge from this experience. There is always a positive to find in a negative situation, you just have to find it. Here in London UK, we are in tier 4 the highest tier of lockdown.
Well I had a lovely Christmas Day we had roast beef with all the trimmings...the day after Xmas day in the U.K. and Canada we have another holiday called Boxing Day it’s usually a day to see the rest of your family but one silver lining for me this year is I don’t have too see anyone else 😂 we have beef stew with the left over beef. My Mom made it for Christmas morning breakfast every year when we were growing up. Today I will be cooking a prime beef rib roast/crown roast, mashed potatoes, string beans, broccoli, squash and or Frieda's purple sweet potatoes & rosemary olive crustie bread. Haven't decided what to have for dessert. Probably homemade cookies.

For me olives are an acquired taste because of the salty flavor from the brine, but I usually eat it when it's mixed in a salad. The other ingredients together with a good amount of olive oil weakens their flavor, and lettuce, cucumbers, celery, tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, italian and greek cheeses and a nice creamy dressing are good at countering the strong flavor of the ingredients.
We in the Netherlands are also in a lockdown. From december 15th untill januari 19th ( at this point) So watching all of your video's make me put a smile on my face. Merry Christmas

Hi there! We live in South Africa and would really like to try and order some Japanese Instant Ramen Noodles to try, but we NEVER know what to get. Please could you make a video with some suggestions? Also including ones that are not Spicy. We would really like to know what is considered a GOOD Japanese instant ramen, and who better the ask than people from Japan 😊 We really want to do some research before we order anything, because we believe importing will be quite expensive
