Thank you, George. This is the part that nobody tells you about.
You're welcome :)
Very helpful. I have only used Retouch varnish which has worked well. Thank you for all the great information. Great painting also.
Thank you, I'm glad it was helpful :)
Thank you so much. Haven’t sold anything yet but good to see how to frame it. Beautiful painting

Thank you :)
Thank you! Beautiful work!
Thanks! :)
That's like gift from gods: varnish, that can applied when touch dry, but is permanent too... Following your guide, I stick certificate at the back of painting, I love it that way. Are you use gesso all around the panel? Interesting idea... Lovely painting and great video!
Thank you! Yes I gessoed all the way around the panel. I'm glad you enjoyed the video :)
Amazing video, for retouch varnish, does it stay sticky for long? The bottle states to only use it as a temporary varnish after leaving your painting to dry for 2-3 months, is that actually true or just a broad precaution ? (Reference for this notice is the brand talens)
Thanks! It depends on the brand you use, I've used re-touch varnish that has dried in a few days and can be applied to touch dry paint. If you're varnishing a finished painting I'd recommend Gamvar varnish as it is a permanent varnish which can be applied to a touch dry painting.
Thanks George. This is a very helpful video. What do you think about using wire instead of string on the back?
Thanks, I'm glad it was helpful. Wire is good too I just find that string is a bit easier to attach myself.
