It’s classed as a “barn find”, and buyers like to see them in their original condition; nothing to do with Mathewsons not wanting to spend time or money cleaning it.

Aah yes the “Fun” of the buyer cleaning it rather than the auction house spending the time or money.

Always a dilemma as to what to do with these ultra low mile cars. Use them and you devalue them, or leave them as a sort of museum piece.
Well I bought it and I have thoroughly enjoyed doing the detailing cleaning, it needed a lot!
