I have and played both games. A Townships Tale really upsets me from time to time. Servers are filled with mostly children, towns aren’t dedicated or reserved, player can steal your things if your not careful. There’s a lot going on in that game that needs to be addressed. With that being said, I prefer TT over Zenith. Despite its flaws, I love the freedom and the concept of the whole “community” effort. They haven’t nailed it, but it’s good enough.
zenith sucks imo the weapons dont feel good as in tt it feels nice and you can make your own blade that you enjoy because i can actually feel it strike i love the open world with no chests
When I started playing zenith I expected like different kinds of weapons not the same thing with tiers and different colors it has no variety in its stuff but township tale has tons of thing to make in your own way you aren’t stuck to the same thing every time you craft but in ATT you can make your weapon in any way you want
Depends on your community. Mine marks the start and end paths to each floor with spike crystals to help people navigate the various levels. Very helpful. Especially if you died.
I also hate going into the mines in that amazing game. It’s not that I’m scared of the dark, it’s that there is no color at the start, and I hate being alone by myself as I descend down. When I’m with people, even if it’s one person, I feel much safer due to having the ability to having each other’s backs
Surprisingly, the climbing tower wasn’t the challenge I thought it was when I first tried it. Sure, it took me two hours, but it was mainly because I was trying to figure out where to go next. To anyone who is worried, if you have a lot of experience with vr climbing then you should do fine. 👍🏼
It’s hard to choose but I’d go with Township in the state both games are right now but in my opinion Zenith has way more potential but I think Zenith was released a bit too early and isn’t as polished as township. But I’m really excited because both games recently received millions of dollars for development so we’ll see what they reserve us.
Which part? Me calling township multiplayer unplayable? Me saying Zenith was the best bet or map size, questing, multiplayer and performance? 😅 just my 2 cents on the two games anyway. Thanks for watching dude.
I play Zenith more purely because ATT's playbase drives me crazy, whilst Zenith's is super nice and welcoming. nowadays on Zenith all I do is help new people though, because the quests got insanely repetitive. the newest Zenith update has added some life to it, but not enough
I can relate to the playerbase issue with ATT and also the repetitive questing in Zenith. There is something in between the two that would just be perfect but hasn't been built yet, ya know? Something that will actually have a feeling of longevity. Both of these titles could pull through in their own ways though so we'll see!
ATT has the foundation to be an incredible MMO. As a sandbox it's fucking fantastic, but Zenith checks more RPG boxes. I can't wait to see ATT continue to grow, it's just so goddamn charming.
the problem with indie developer making vrmmorpg (especially the mmo part) is the abilities to get servers and run their game smoother if not open up for even more gameplay potential. However those server are incredibly to find, if not expensive *cough*supply chain*cough*, example: the popular mmorpg FFXIV cant even get new server for their latest expansion, and its SQUARE ENIX. Its sad but I cant see vrmmorpg get expanded unless it get the funded or produced by multi-millions development company. I still have to give prop indie developer to even attempt making these games, still really fond of Township Tales, even the flaws.
I absolutely love ATT and it’s some of the most fun I’ve ever had not just on vr but in video games in general. But sometimes it can be really annoying like I’ve lost all my stuff about 5 times do to admins wiping the server for fun or even scammers on a server.
Almost convinced but since I'm a paying contributor on A township tale giving the perks of admin and pretty much making my world unique in the process, makes it a stand alone game. Of course you gotta learn how to use to admin codes to change your world, but there are alot of people to help out with it. Kudos on your informative video.
I like township a lot more because of the social part of the game. I almost never find people out in Zenith. That is partly because of the smaller map.
Played pcvr with both versions) I love TT WAY better. I feel like that TT is more replayable. With Zenith I got bored of it after a week. But TT I have been playing it for almost a year and I’m still playing it!
Which would be better zenith or township tale because I’m looking for like a game like where you get unique stuff and with lots of dungeons where I can spend most of my time and having fun with a ton of challenges where you don’t just fight but harvest and mining stuff something like an anime like sao/sword art online or like is it right to pick up girls in a dungeon I’m just looking for a fun game to play is all
the problem to me with a township tale is once i get out of the tutorial ..... wtf am i suposed to do lol . Whats the goal ? Should i go explore ? should i just start by packing woods n stuff ?
In my idea of zenith its a good game just not my style I bought the game to play with my friends for like half a month and stopped playing got boring after a while. And for ATT I love the h*ll out of this game its fantastic just I wish there would be more and I mean MORE people working on it like higher more dev's then this would be a game I would be willing to play in a long run I've played that game for over like 450+ hours I don't quite know but its a really cool game.
I'm seeing a few videos around that TT is a dead game now... Is this actually the case?... Also thank you for the video... I am feeling very torn between the two.. I like the mechanics of Township, but also like the vastness of Zenith
I’d say both of these games still have optimistic futures that could be extremely bright tbh. Most likely they’ll eventually dominate in their own ways.
I’m play dough and in my opinion township tail is better in terms of hands on stuff, but at the same time, it does not have any quests or as advanced cooking, the PvP and fighting against bots are basically the same
The controller drift most likely isn't a problem with the game. If it was, you'd probably hear about it. In my experience, the controllers just tend to start sticking after having them for so long. Also, my number one rule before buying games is always look at the bad reviews first. That way you can see what's wrong with, how long there's been a problem, that kind of thing. It's definitely helped a few times.
pretty much they're both kiddie crap mmos for babies. Half the damn abilities/pwoer-ups in Zenith don't even work! Plus you look like anime kids. when will we get a VRMMO that has some decent content and an end-game? sheesh, here's hoping Ilysia gets it better.
Important to note the quest version of township tale is a very different and quite honesty significant worse game. This is to the point where it’s a must have on PCVR but not worth the money on Quest 2.

Pc vr is less toxic and has better servers and mature gamers

yeah, it can also be very tiring. Just finding the next tunnel down is tedious and straining

I have seen that there is admins that can server wipe whenever they want so I’m not too keen on losing my stuff that I get
Both of these games are epic, but the climbing tower isn't out on quest yet so I would have to say I like zenith more for the time being

i have both games on oculus and both is good on it but i dont have a pc but the maps are both different but the maps are my favorite part of the game

Definitely something for people to consider cause it can take a while to have some direction or get a feel for what you want to do.

long story short Zenith looks and feels like it was made by one man and, a township tale is dead or dying for the quest.
