I like how different characters express an innate bond to their same class guardians, like Shaxx joking about how you'll trade punches later (you first), or Shaw Han talking to you about knives

Yeah, it really stinks that Bungie still has not enabled a 'D1 Veteran' option in the gameplay settings to allow us to hear these lines. When the crossplay merge occurred, I used my PC characters instead of console so never get to hear my own triumphs from the first game :(
I think it depends on whether you’ve played the specific content for each line, so if you didn’t play at all during season of the lost you wouldn’t get any of those lines and so on
4:14 definitely forsaken, not last wish. I never completed last wish and I got this dialogue. 3:18 I think you got the labels wrong. FIrst dialogue implies the player didn't know what happened to Savathun during S15. As a veteran i got the second dialogue which makes sense.

I think the Awoken/Dreaming City line from Ghost to Savathun is generally Forsaken veteran dialogue, I'm pretty sure I got it and I never did the raids.
It seems like you may have mixed up some of the veteran and new player dialogue descriptions, like with the crystal prison mention. But these are all something I never expected to exist in the first place. Thank you for uploading this.

The thing I’m confused about is that I did do all the D1 raids and campaigns, though for some reason, new light dialogue sometimes appears. Like, I may get veteran dialogue and new light dialogue at the same time.
My game crashed few times during the campaign and I could hear both voice lines (1 during the play and 1 after restarting), probably a bug and I didn't really paid attention to it but now I see what was the original purpose.

The New Player one has Eris tell us that we "might recognize it" and the one you indicated as Veteran Player has Eris instead giving context on what it is first, as in all the context that we already know.
I wonder though, if we make new characters, do we still get Veteran Dialogue, or do we get New Player Dialogue since it's a new character, cuz Saladin called me Young Wolf still, not sure if it's linked to me playing and beating Rise of Iron.

Rahool's line on Exo's isn't actually Exo specific, It's just a line he says that references Exo's. I hear him say it often as a Human.

It's character based I think. It's the same for my hunter (she's been around since beta of D2) and my warlock was made during forsaken

Ghost does say "not again!" when you get shot through the cannon on vet dialog, but it's buggy and sometimes it doesn't show up.

How come they used the (New Player) dialogue with Season of the lost but the (veteran) dialogue with Season of the Chosen on me?
I never had the battle pass for Season of the lost nor Season of the Chosen.
I'm wondering where that first line comes from because I went through the campaign 3 times and never got it once

I got new light dialogue in the Mars segment because I didn’t play the entire story of Lost and Chosen :(

Weird, I got the veteran dialogue for crota and oryx and I never played d1, yet I still got the new light dialogue for season of the lost during the crystal quest
