Thanks for your comment about the snow, because I live in Montreal Canada, lots of snow and ice and other cars I have considered are much lighter and I don't think they would be good in the snow.
I own this car. When you keep pushing the Trax you neglect to mention the noisier interior, plastic feeling interior, and bumpier ride. When I was younger I wouldn't mind so much but as you get older you do.
Screenplayhouse, I agree with you 100 percent. I've owned a 2019 Encore since February of this year, and I love this small SUV. You're right about the Trax and the cheap plastic interior and bumpier ride. I find it incredible how smooth the Encore is. I also agree with you on if you're younger you may not mind the Trax ride. Not me, I prefer the ride of the Encore and the interior and two tone seats that I have. My Encore is Winterberry Red.
We bought our 2019 coppertino encore preffered last week for 16,000 thanks to 5000. In rebates. We love our car! Only one thing i dislike is where Buick put the usb ports. Great job buick!!

Hmmm i dunno about that... i got to test drive one and its one hell of a city driving car... very zippy and quick due to its gear ratio and turbo it was a fun and excellent mpg car for city commuters especially it will get up to the speed limit faster than most cars around it... obviously a higher hp car will take it in the long haul but they would have to be speeding.... its no race car.. but its a FUN zippy great city car that gets around quick and actually takes turns like a champ its very nimble and u feel in control of it fun car....
I have an encore.. it was an impulse buy but i say, im 6’ tall and you can get 3 adults my size in it perfectly fine. I got a new 55” tv in the back fine and i can get 40 mpg in the right comditions, i run 93 and the performance is real good, with the turbo it can climb most hills without even downshifting… i think its a fine car, especially since it was only $20,000 new (2019 leftover bought in late 2020).. and the stereo is great and has 6 speaker, leather trim, 6 spd with manual mode, apple play, awd, xm radio, alloy wheels. Plus with the fold flat front seat you can get 8’ long 2x4 inside the car.. plus it has roof rails so you can put all kinds of stuff on the roof too…. Whats not to love? There is so much modern tech on the car it drives so nice, it even has active noise canceling and its so quiet inside .. with the electric steering there is zero vibration in the steering wheel.. and it has 7” of ground clearance. It has triple sealed doors and sound insulated glass to eliminate almost all wind noise.. its amazing
have a 2016 in new york -- love it so much that we even got the buick encore rented in china for 3 months -- get versatility and storage but why i bought it was because it is a great training car for my wife to learn on -- you have great visibility and traction so i don't worry if wife gets stuck in a little snow or mud
I really like the fact that you have so many options when adjusting your seat. The cars that I have been in, in the past, you couldn't move the seat in any direction beside the basic forward backward and up a small amount, but in this one you can tilt the seats a little. :) I'm excited to test drive one when going on the search for my first car.
STOP SAYINH LEATHER CAR MANUFACTURERS ARE CALLING EVERYTHING LEATHER WHEN ITS REALLY VINYL! Most cars don't even use real leather or they will use some leather synthetic blend then say it's all leather! It's a lie to charge you more. Buick Encore does not have real leather.
I bought a new one back in 2017. First time I bought a brand new vehicle. I am still driving it until now closing to 100,000 miles. Just spent this year close to a couple thousand dollars for a new set of tires (4 of them) and for a new rear brakes and rotors. Other than that, everything is great. I have no monthly car payment as it is paid for. No complain. I am hoping to keep this vehicle until it reaches 350,000 miles. Wish me luck. Haha.
i'm not so sure the [chevy] trax is as comfortable or well-screwed-together, as the buick. i test-drove an Impala that was distressingly rattly and shuddery inside. i fear the trax is similarly slapdash. but the 80k mile used 2016 encore i drove was tight as a mercedes still even with those high miles, a good sign. the ride quality [literally my seat of pants impression] was as good as the impala, all the sharp road bump impacts were filed down and polished. wish i could afford one. even used they command a superior resale.

It was so obvious this guy either was paid by a Chevy dealer or he is just bias. A well equipped Trax cost almost as much an Encore, now the prices of cars varies by where you live, equipment and time of the year. I bought a 2019 Encore at the end of February and after a ton of rebates, incentives, and other discounts, the sticker price was over $25,000, I paid $16,800 for a well equipped vehicle, that on most other cars are extra, can't beat that.
Buick’s and Chevrolet’s are from the same company, GM. That’s why he is comparing the 2. They are VERY similar when it comes to looks and size. Even some prices tbh.
btw this was the ONLY car with a sunroof that i could crank the seat comfortably high and still have an inch of headroom left. i am sold, once my ship comes in i will bite.

We have had thr but her Envision and Regal Tourax currently a d have her parents in a 2015 Encore the now wife's aunt is a 2018 Encore. We nicknamed ours Squiry as it was so nimble in small space like swerving around other cars and turning into parking lot spaces. We could seek out 39 mpg on one tank of fuel at 60 mph.
One at our dealer stickered at $27.5 marked down to $19.5. Not a bad deal but: No passenger arm rest. Had a Honda that didn't have that either. It sucks.

Spunk TM Buick doesn't sell in Europe. Both of them are almost the same but some features are different and some engines too. The look is a little different too but only a little... Buick seems to have better features than the Opel one and better quality too but not much difference. I think they are thought for different markets with different tastes.

I ordered 66 It'a a rebadged Trax, chancellor. And the Trax isn't handsome at all. I'm not paying premium for a revised interior and suspension only, if it's a different brand, I'd like a different vehicle.

@@ryannt cool! Best bang for buck at that price. We had a 2013 Encore when they first came out and liked it, called it Squirt as it was very easy getting in and out of parking spaces. Then a 2016 Envision and was very nice and now a 2018 Regal TourX. We buy a new car almost every 18 months and Buick has the best lineup for the price. Plus I love the turbo-4 engines as they get really good fuel economy at the speed limit. My mother inlaw has a 2015 Encore and her sister has a 2018 Encore and.they like them.
I love my Buick Encore. I’m 6’3 250 lbs and I have plenty of room. The radio is loud and it’s a beast to drive in the snow.

I have a Encore 2015 and still like it.Its alot quieter than alot of vehicles,handles nicely,goes over bumps easy,not a rough ride.Perfect size for me

The lower horsepower 1.4L turbo is a bit noisy and thrashy. I'd choose the 1.4L direct injected turbo.
