I've been the manager of a couple of hardware stores. You can buy paints where the color match didn't come out the right tone and purchase for a discount if you need to save some money. Sometimes you can even find free paint at your local recycling center. The stores may even have scraps of chicken wire, glass, chain, pvc pipe, nails, plexiglass, rope, screws in cheap bulk swept up from the floor, etc. for your projects. Don't be afraid to ask. Think about it :They can get a little money for stuff they might have to throw away. Everyone wins because they get cash, you get stuff you need and it doesn't fill up a land fill. You can also find a lot of stuff in the bins around construction sites.
Thank you for the tips and I'm always picking up things people are getting rid of to upcycle and make new. Honestly that's my passion to create things from seemingly nothing or what may be precieved as junk. Thanks for reaching out and watching!
Being a witch that does live in a little home in a swamp. I should probably be offended by your rendition of a witch. But I can't help but laugh. I think it's hysterical. I know a huge amount of witches and have yet to meet one that looks anything like yours. 😅😅😅😅😅
Looks like some shoulder length latex gloves would be handy for this project. Your sculpting keeps getting better. Love the expression on her. The finger tips add a nice touch. Thanks for voicing the construction. It makes it easier to follow along with the details on how and why you do things. Thanks.
This is brilliant! You’re one awesome artist. It looks realistic! Edit: I would like to see how you literally designed her entire head from scratch to actual concept, including her wart’s and all, lol.
Wow you are just off the charts talented!!! Question…I wet with water and ring out materials before I dip them into whatever liquid I need to dip them into first. I get the even coat faster, but would that weaken the monster mud? I think I’ll try a little skeleton first before I attempt a larger than life size! 💕 Amazing job on her!!!
@GoblinsMom thank you so much! You don't need to wet the fabric before you dip it in monster mud. In the video I'm dipping the dry fabric into the monster mud mixture and then ringing out the excess monster mud as to not waste product and keep the weight as low as possible.
I just found your channel today. You’re an amazing artist. I happen to be an artist myself and my full-time job is drywall taping so I have all the supplies already. I am absolutely going to try something like this! Nice job.
AWESOME! I am so in love with your work and this witch is wicked!!!!! I was checking out the Cheesecloth Ghost video today so that I could get to work on a spook, and I came across your latest witch video...I have to make her. You have provided me so much inspiration, thank you! Happy Haunting, I've gone wild with it!
Thank you very much!! Makes me happy that you're trying out the props, they really are a hell of a lot of fun to make. Please let me know how it goes when you do give her a go!!

It's my absolute pleasure! Yes for sure I can. I'll definitely be making another witch in the future and will make sure and show the sculpting process. Thanks so much for watching!
Ok, I'm starting one of these in September 2025! Great video. From my costuming experience nothing pumps up realism and quality more than layers and various textures of clothing, a point you made. I think on mine I'll go ahead and airbrush the face details and invest in glass eyes. Also add eyelashes and dome hair coming out of the warts and nose.
That sounds seriously awesome! Please email me some pics @Carvalhocreations@gmail.com when youre finished. I'd love to see how she comes out! Thanks so much for watching!
Absolutely freaking fantastic! The underlying black really gives a sense that the evil is consuming her from within and that she's physically evolving. The hands really speak to this. I love classic monsters and would love to see your take on Frankenstein’s monster!

Reminds me of the witches in Legend!! 😮 Amazing you are teaching us alot! My family is gonna be sick of me! My husband already said he lives in a haunted house!
Hi! So I'm getting ready to use monster mud for the first time in a project where I want the final draping to be black, or a close to it as possible, so am I understanding correctly that if I use black paint, I will not have to paint it after the fact? Thanks!
So yes if you use black you'll get the darkest color possible. It'll still be a grey color because you're mixing the paint with joint compound which is off white. If you want a solid black you'll still have to paint it unfortunately.
Cool decoration👍have you tried one that can light up? I always wonder where all the decked out houses keep all their holiday stuff if they don't have basements like here in the SW😊
Thank you brotha! Not yet, I haven't got into incorporating lights but soon. Yeah it's definitely not easy I end up having to sell most of this stuff just so I can make more haha
She's great! Thanks for the video. I'd love some to do a tutorial on some familiars, cat, toads, owls etc. Sometimes it's the small things that make the overall effect seem real.
