My favorite part of Fauna is how she is the perfect embodiment of the nerd girl in highschool. Often media and Hollywood in general have the tendency to put in separate groups, the nerd, the hot girl, the goth girl and the vegan all in different groups, usually antagonizing each other. However, if you use your memory, you will realize that's a stretch. Rock kids were usually nerds.
In high school there was this one goth/punk rock kid, who was also on the football team who also quoted and did poses while playing YuGiOh and was really good at fighting games. Super friendly and really funny.
While there were different groups there was a lot of crossover. As far as I know we didn’t have any bullying to worry about. There was some issues with hazing, but that’s more insulated to within a group.
@@orangeapples it's actually pretty common. Hollywood uses different types of people as isolated archetypes, in order to make the story easier. But reality is more grey. When you watch interviews with Dave Grohl, Joey Ramone and many others you realize rockers were usually the nerd kids of the class. The same way goth girls were usually the artistic, esoteric type, fighting for animal rights and such.
Remind me 2 of my friends from middle school form a rock band and they still play music until couple years ago.

I just really found it funny when their JP peers perceive Fauna as this sexy figure. When really she's the Girlfailure of Council/Promise and "one of the boys" so to speak.
It's probably because Fauna just has this calming and alluring nature to her that can come off as "sexy", when in reality she's just a big lovable dork.
I think this "allure" is amplified by her character (who she is as a person), her breathy voice, and her overall character design.
The few JP members that are pretty similar to the vibe Fauna gives off, but not exactly 1:1, I think would be Noel, Okayu, and Mel (hope she's doing better now).
Sidenote: Surprisingly there is one "JP Member" that is very similar to fauna's vibe imo, but she's not part of HL.

Last year on SportsFes Fauna was categorized by Mio as "goofy", which made her very surprised, where she acknowledged that she's a very goofy individual to us, but didn't know that this goofy side of her had reached her jp senpais. She did think that in jp view she was seen as mainly elegant.

I'm not gonna argue about those perceptions of her, but as someone who watches her a lot, have heard her ABYSMAL British accent, her inability to roll her Rs (tho she's been improving), or she makes us watch a rainbow pendulum for 30 minutes, or she yaps on and on about quantum physics and other hilariously silly things she does, hearing that so many think she's sexy is just very amusing to me. Honestly I can't even really pinpoint what specifically makes Fauna so attractive, so I end up also using vague terms like "her aura". Her soft and tender voice combined with an empathetic and comforting, yet playful and dorky personality is a solid recipe for a very widely appealing and attractive package. And that is not even accounting for her looks since they are subjective! There is really no singular charm point, but Fauna as a person is just very consistently filled with traits, that people look for in others. She's not perfect, but more like a jack of all trades. A bit of everything.
