I would like to see cotton and/or tobacco added to the game. There is a major lack of north American related agriculture in FS17 except a few maps, random mods, and the Big Bud DLC.
i would love to see a cap and upgrade system put on the animals, like you wouldn't be able to have 100 cows if your barns and milking parlor are not big enough. Something along the lines of having to upgrade your garages on ATS or ETS2 to get more drivers, keep up the great work
I think you should invest some time in figuring out course play. You could have set a track for the big trailer from the field to the sugar mill. Then you could have filled the trailer with the smaller one and a worker would have done the trip to the sugar mill. It would save time and it would still be realistic because in real live a harvest is almost never done alone.
What i would like to see in fs19 is if they add seasons to it. that in the winter and spring if the land gets to wet and u bring ur tractor out there u would get stuck
Sugar Cane is a money drainer, the time it takes along with the cost of the equipment and takes 3x as long as other crops, the return is not as good as the price is pretry much lower than any other crop. Nice video Daggerwin.
Daggerwin, it's costing so much in worker fees because you have the timescale set above 1, the hourly rate doesn't change but the amount of times you're charged is directly affected by the timescale.

Horses would be a waste really.... There's no use for them to be worked in a modern farming game. Also there's really not a way to profit from horses. I would much rather see Cotton or tobacco along with more north American features.

Its a paper sorry.. things i want in fs19 1. No rain through the buildings. 2. Realistic mud (vehicles dirty day after rain not filthy after driving in a field on sunny days) 3. Seasons built in 4. Hay bales fed into bale feeders 5. Wintertime requires more straw for bedding. And also produces more manure than summertime 6. Real breeding- have to buy bulls, rams or boars, depending on feed quality, you get up to 85% of total number of animals as babies each spring. Different prices for the calves, goats, and piglets to be sold either in spring or fall 7. Real maintenance- have to grease zerts on equipment often or breakdown. Machines break down during operation and have to pay for replacement parts. 8. Breakdowns- when using a 200hp tractor on 400 hp planter your tractor breaks down.. have to let tractors warm up in winter 8. Yearly maintenance in shop on equipment is kind of like car mechanic game. 9. Winter time has chores- feeding daily 10. Larger variety of equipment used and new.. Start with tractors that are 100hp and 2wd.. then build up your equipment 11. Start with Small farms that you "upgrade" with barn additions, additional grain bins, more bunkers. 12. Having to move animals to pastures in summertime- if water source like creek in pasture no animal maintenance during that time 13. Irrigation available, and crop yields vary depending on rain amount or your irrigation amount yearly so yield is not predictable 14. Paying for your fields to be planted, fertilized, and harvested if wanted 15. Waypoint you can set to fields and it sends worker down the roads to the destination. 16. More crop choices maybe alfalfa too
Things I would like to see in FS19: All the basic grains should be there. So rye, oats and the like would be a good addition. Root-crops such as carrots, turnips, would be a good option. What would be the biggest and best change would be the ability to 'build the farm' IN GAME. cut any and all trees and bushes, hedgerows and plants. this will make it more realistic when you what to plough fields together. Be able to choose which farm you want to use for which animal. So you decide where the sheep or cows or pigs are placed. Talking of animals, why is it only the cows poop? I am pretty sure that pigs and sheep also produce quite a bit of manure. Even chickens. Animal growth and prices are also a thing that could be a lot better. the feeding of pigs really needs looking at, and the cows TMR still does not work as it did in FS15 you fill with TMR and the display shows it going in as straw, hay and a tiny bit or TMR and totally LOL that if you empty a feed mixer on the floor is spits out the component parts of the mix in two or three neat heaps and not just one heap of TMR... lol

I think that it is incredible that Giants hasn't implemented something like seasons mod into the game. Farming is not only about driving tractors. It's just as much about what the nature and weather does to your crops. I would also like to see that the crop yields could vary depending on how much rainfall you get different years. Now it is just too predictable. I would like to implement anything that makes the game feel more real, without making extra work for the gamer.

In FS19, I would defiantly like to see Australia incorporated into the game since of the unique biodiversity and different conditions that are in previous versions. Australia is mainly based around wheat, so more things to do with wheat will make the game intriguing. Growing up in the hot weather, the weather in FS19 would change the game as well.
I think the problem with sugar cane is that during harvest there is NO option but to use workers. All other crops/harvesting equipment, you have on-board crop storage. You can drive the equipment until it's full, you can run over to a tractor and unload the harvester into the trailer. It might take longer, but you don't have that extra mandated cost. With the additional problem that sugar cane is a high volume/low value crop, you need to work your behind off to get it all in, and the other aspect of high volume/low value crops is that any leased equipment is going to rack up hours, with costs eliminating sizable chunks of the profits. Compare that to say a leased harvester on Soy Beans, on Oakfield you're typically done with a field in less than an hour, so you'd only be losing a fraction of the profit to cover any leasing cost.
For FS19 or any other farm sim game out there I would like to see livestock auctions. You could buy and sell your animals and not get a set amount for them. Would add realism because you would have to judge the best time to buy or sell..
How to make money in FS: Dont rent machines unless you are only going to use it for a short time, Forestry machines and the like, Rent them use them RETURN THEM. Dont use workers with the time set to any thing other than x1. Put it on x5 and you are paying them for 5 hours for one hour of work! Buy at least 100 sheep and cows. They make a good bit of work but the income is good. 100 cows make enough milk each day to cover your expenses and leave profit. If you also install the game extension mod, You can then turn off the workers wages. (just assume that they are your 'family workforce'). When you sell machines, repair them in the workshop first. The money paid for the repair is more than covered in the price when you sell them. Talking of machines, only buy what you need. You can only drive them one or two (with follow me for example) at a time. A high power tractor for the heavy work and a smaller one for yard work. The trick with sugar, be it cane or beets, is grow loads of it. the price is so poor, also in real life that you really need to grow huse amounts of the stuff to make the economy go round.
Cotton would be interesting, in fact every single crop which grows in a "bush-like" plant (aka plants that are not harvested together with the fruit and remain planted on the ground) would be interesting, like Coffee, Grapes, Currant, etc... because all of those require specific machinery for planting and harvesting and would allow several mods to be made for them
The worker fees are low compared to the money you make doing contracting jobs on npc fields. You can store sugarcane at the grain elevators instead of dumping it on the ground. Doing sugarcane on a mod map is better because you can disable the price drop. Using courseplay you can automate sugarcane harvesting, which makes it go faster.
There is cotton in FS15 but it is not done like it would be in real life. I have not found a way to bale the cotton. I would like to see peanuts in the game. Where I grew up in Texas they grow a lot of sugar cane. There is even a town called Sugarland,TX where there is a sugar mill. Think is was Dixie Crystal. Also sugar cane is big in many of the southern states of the US. On my grandmothers farm they grew sugar cane and had their own sugar mill for making molasses.
I bought the field next to the sugar plant, put in grass headlands and divided it lengthwise into 4 equal sections with grass, then planted the 4 sections to sugarcane, 1 each growth cycle. This allowed me to use the trailed harvester without running down crops and I only have to harvest a small amount each day on an ongoing basis. It makes me pretty good money that way. I put the tractor with the collection wagon on Follow Me and have a second tractor pulling a bulk carrier to the sale point with CoursePlay. Keep on mind CoursePlay will not work with the high tip sugarcane trailers, you have to use a traditional tipper.
In fs19 I'd like to be able to hurd animals to diffrant fields. I'd like to see claas in game and able to grow peas or carrots. Maybe even a hop garden and you sell it to a brewery/pub or something
For FS19 I would like to have a game mode, in which you start in an older era, lets say 1950 and you progress through the years with the appearance of new machinery, new models, new crops, ...

When you put things in the proper perspective, worker fees are proportional to the game's increased sense of time. You can plow, plant, grow, and harvest a crop in 3 days, rather than 6 months, so every 3 days you are making half a year's farming profits. Is it not then reasonable to also pay proportional worker fee to offset all the help one would need to create half a year's profit? Everything in-game - field and equipment prices, animal prices, fees - are exaggerated to reflect the greatly-exaggerated potential for fast profit by turning over crop after crop, which is the trade-off for not having to wait for months in-game to accumulate the same growth and income. That's the way I look at the economy in FS17 - you are trading affordability for speed, but a balance must still be maintained.
Personally I'll be really sad to see fs17 go. Though I've been with the franchise for years I only got fs17 in September (as i upgraded my gaming rig). Doesn't feel like its been enough time for me.... Saying that i am excited for fs19. Must see features for me would be season as stock (with the option to turn off of course), IC as stock, better physics (always), oats (wanted them since the start) and the minimum requirements barely rising above the present, so i can still run the game comfortably. A new major brand would be nice but i dont expect tbh. Just my thought/wall of text :)

they have added seasons pretty much to the base game, just need to get the mod to activate it

For all the work and cost to do sugarcane it sure seems less profitable then other crops with equipment that's more universal.
