- The sound of the sitar and the tabla is near perfect in the appeal in this very early 1966 presentation of the Legendary Team of Pandit Ravi Shankar and Ustad Alla Rakha as they play the very beautiful Raga Mishra Pilu. This became even more famous after the Carnegie Hall performance when the Great Ali Akbar Khan joined the 2 on May 5 1982.
Raga Pilu has universal appeal, suits easily for light classical playing; has been extensively used in many popular Hindi songs, and notable recordings include :

Has so much of depth in it. Anoushka shankar also had played the same composition but pandit ravi shankar ji is unparalleled. His music really confronts one with the divinity.

@@VISHUDDHATMA Thank you. Yeah, I didn't know him but only years ago enjoyed a Ragg from YT. Since I was young, I was listening to these Indian classics, espcially at night. Every night I try one, sometimes more. Now listening to Bageshree & will listen to those you listed. I love these hours long renditions. He's much better than Shankar but I don't want to hurt anyone. Both have different style, I love those. I now know both of them were students of same person, Mr Khan, if I'm not wrong. I've created a playlist for these music.
