It certainly gets swirls and scratches all of the time, literally every time I touch it. The best thing I did was bought an Adams Orbital Polisher kit. It comes with various pads and compounds. Usually I just hit it with a polishing pad and the polishing compound. Using the buffer takes about 1/2 the time of doing it by hand, and much better results. If you have pretty serious swirls, you’ll need to use the more abrasive “compound pad” and the matching compound liquid, then go over it again with the polishing pad and polish. It ain’t easy keeping them up, that’s for sure.
