Quick tip Granty (for future use): You can actually use the Tek Scout to heal the Meks. Just fly them up to the Mek until they do a repairing animation and you can leave them to heal the Mek. Hope this helps!
Just a FYI, You can heal Mechs quickly by putting element in the Mech’s inventory, opening the Mech’s “options” wheel, and selecting the “Repair” option…or you can craft a scout and fly close to the Mech, it’ll heal it insanely fast.
You dont repair the Mek with a Snow Owl but with the Scout... but since no one uses Scouts I guess its easy to forget about those things x) But yes the Scouts are for Mek repair.

If you didn’t know, when you kill big creatures such as corrupted spinos and rexes they often drop a bag where they died, most of the time corrupted hearts are in these bags, so the way you were farming it makes it take AGES longer

yea that dismount thing appears to be related to the mega mek getting hit? it has a rage meter and it goes up when you get hit or do an attack, and when it fills, you get dismounted
