- Sorry if this isn’t the best quality or i sound terrible. It’s my first TH-cam video which i made in 20 mins on iMovie. Just wanted to help others who are looking for a different mounting solution for their gpu in the hyte y60 case. Hope it helps:)
Motherboard is Rog Strix Z590
GPU is Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 oc edition
Bracket piece is from lian li o11 dynamic mini

Thanks for the nice build. please keep this video forever. I'm gonna refer this for my next pc.
PLEASE make sure you completely clean the case afterwards, small metal shavings can short out your motherboard.
Two easier ways to do this. Easiest way is to just remove the rear GPU I/O plate and use a GPU holder. The other way is to cut a notch in the top of the GPU I/O plate so it sits in the top of the vertical slot. This will support the card and take some stress of the PCIe slot.
Yea i didn’t want to alter the gpu, wanted a solution that would work if i upgraded my gpu in the future. I have a gpu support bracket but haven’t felt like i needed it yet but I am always open to different methods and processes of things
@@siegeperilous7486 I'm waiting for the I/O plates for my Strix 4080 to be available to purchase so I can notch it and try it out. I'm curious to see how the temps will compare to my modded bracket.
@@ItzTheDaydo you have the results? I am wanting to build a 4090 and use the y60 so these information can help me a lot
@@abcdef5010 I don't, I went a different route. I do have a video on my channel of what I did, showing before and after temps, fan speeds etc.
Y60 gang! noice!
Is so stupid that y40 and the others has only the horrible vertical gpu. I change many times my nvmes and this is so unconfortable. I need to remove the gpu all the time. We need a normal y40 with one inche more high...
đây là cách đặt vga mà tôi cần, rất đẹp, cảm ơn
I just built a new system using the Y60.. I didn't realize there would be so little room with a 4090.. I have like zero airflow.
Nice build, man. Do you think you can do the same with the Y40?
Yes
What’s the deal with the little screen playing iron man is that built on the case or something?
It is an extra lcd display you can get from hyte.
@@siegeperilous7486 thank u I appreciate it I just ordered this case an made a water cooling but I want that screen looks sick
I suggest getting the 3d printed mounting bracket as well. You can get it from Etsy.
the start menu on the case screen ruins everything
Yea i can’t hide it like my other monitors
See if you can hide it with some settings or something.
It doesn't sound right that you need to physically hide it
No i use a program to make the taskbar translucent on my dual monitors. But doesn’t work for the extra display
how deep is your desk?
Not sure I’d have to look. I got it from ikea
What type of droop support are you using? Thanks for the video, I have a Soundblaster on the way and am gonna have to do this but did you have room for a droop support?
You can buy ones from Amazon that sit at the base of the case. I now have a Msi z790 mpg motherboard that comes gpu support bracket
Very nice. I've been interested in this case for a while but the horizontal gpu mount makes me nervous when I think about what the thermals will be like with a hulking rx 7800xt. I really want to avoid having to do a custom water cooling build just for this case.
Idt I’ve ever seen mine above 60 degrees C
