This is, (another), good one. Give where your heart or The Spirit compels you to. The poor, the ailing, the little children, the dying; these are great sources but not exclusive. But as he said, give also of yourself though action and word and The Word. Let the Spirit pour out love upon those who are suffering and have mercy upon them even as if you were looking upon yourself or your own child. Then you shall know that you have brought forth good Fruit by the swelling within your heart.
With me I get so tired of hearing every sunday " we are going to take up and the tithes and offerings. They didn't even know what the tithe was. They also thought it was money!
For most people, money is a cheque that we wait for every month. Then to have most of it go to paying bills and such. I therefore say don't squander money on things you "want". Hard in this day and age of materialism and capitalism. If you have some extra cash, by all means if you want to give to charity rescue missions ect ect. Personally I dont think money is the root of all evil. Its in the way we use it,which leads to that. Billions go to warfare, so sad. Spend money wisely.
The OT taught 10 % for the Jews but Jesus respected what the widow gave her all . The church does have bills so since I go there I give them 10% but when the Lord directs me I give to others also , not to brag or boast about it . I do it because Jesus is Lord of all , including my money . btw my pastor and I take no money for preaching etc .
No it wasn’t a taxation for the nation. It was an agricultural tax only. So if you weren’t in agriculture it didn’t apply. You clearly do not read the Torah or understand the Hebrew Scriptures. I would highly recommend you do so, I have noticed on many of your videos you have little or confused understanding of the older testament. This means you do not really know Christ since he created all. Time to double down and learn
