Frankfurt City Walk in Alt Griesheim

Frankfurt Griesheim is a lovely old neighborhood located in the far west side of Frankfurt. One border is the Main river which we see in the video.
Origins go back to the Romans of course.
You can visit Griesheim with the S-1 or S-2, bus 59 or 54.
If you read German, the "Frankfurt Journal" has a featured article about Griesheim presented by a tour colleague, Sascha Mahl. He offers wonderful tours in this neighborhood and in the rest of Frankfurt.

I lived in Griesheim from 1986 to 1993 on Mainzerlandstr. and that area changed a lot. This older part hasn't. Still like a village.

I just posted a new short that shows the beauty of Griesheim. I lived here from 86-93, but in a different part. Alt Griesheim is lovely, like a village.

@@frankfurtonfoottours2361 No I lived in Camp King which was about 16-18 klicks from Frankfurt. I graduated HS at FAHS and then went to work at the PX. Your video of that area was awesome to see. I have a lot of great memories of my time there!

hello again, i really appreciate your work making these short vlogs, very relaxing. so i always go to google maps to trace your walk and following your comments on the train station i zoomed in on the station and read some of the reviews (2.2 stars overall....nicht sehr gut!!) one post stated the station is scheduled for renovation beginning spring of 2022 so perhaps improvements are on the way....rents are gonna rise!!!😂😂😂 best wishes and thank you.
