As an OSU alum(go cowboys!) and a person from upstate NY who grew up with syracuse ball, Frank Martin is just one coach you definitely want in your school coaching...the passion and fire in his eyes to dig everything out form his players, that's great, that's basketball..but if i had god given talent to play college ball, i wouldnt want to play for him, i'd be scared! but hell a lot of respect for the guy, one of my fave coach in NCAA ball!
"One of em was in, and the good Lord kicked it out!" Hahaha I can't wait to see what he can do with my Gamecocks. He's gonna have a tough road with our inexperienced boys, but if anyone can do it, it's Coach Martin
he ain't as bad as he seems here.. and . also when they are playing hard he's on board with them. win or lose he's down for the team. he just hates excuses, and lack . of effort.... he can deal with losses but he hates laziness.. he is the type of coach that if u lose a close game but your exhausted from max effort he will cry with the players in the locker room from frustration of the tough loss... but he wont beat em up over it... he just wants max effort and heart and passion for the game from the players. sort of like how God wants our undivided attention every day.
@cooang2 Quit trying to put a good twist on the fact that the guy is a complete jerk. He insults and humiliates his own players to the media. That is classless and an embarrassment to himself, KSU university, and the sport. What a filthy disgrace! Karma will catch up to this guy. And he'll continue to be a tournament failure due to scaring the best players in the country off from joining his program.
Frank scares the hell out of me, and yet I keep coming back for more Frank.
Even as a KU fan. I loved the passion and emotion Frank put in the game. MAN HE WAS THE BEST I WILL MISS HIM!!
LMAO "SO MUCH FOR MY HALFTIME SPEECH!"

Coaches like this are the best, you'd rather not lose than face him next practice
