For reference, in the US the willingness to defend your own country is something like less than 5%. And this in the context of foreign troops already attacking. I was shocked to learn this. I guess the American spirit has such disdain and mistrust in its own country, that people are not willing to defend it. It's like they think their own government is their enemy. In Russia I could understand this, under the dictatorship of Putin and the whole gang of thieves in their Duma, but in America? Makes no sense to me.

The terrain is very favorable for the defender due to great number of lakes, swamps and vast forest areas.
