It's just so frustrating having to lose to the unfair ai 10x straight early to mid game without having to use exploits. I also shared your video to colonel damneders latest video. One commenter said never to use colony ships first! Boy was he wrong.

When it comes to capital ships I almost always use the Akkan (Colonizer) capital ship. Not so much for the colonize ability but more for the boost it gives to my early economy with the mobile trade port ability. Also it's level 6 ability is one of the best in the game for getting out of tight spots or repositioning your fleet in a big battle.
@@unoriginalthoughts796 my Sova start is rush Garrison with Shriken, then choke point with auto cannon turrets. Focus the Sova on mobile factory and mass production. I've held my ground against nightmare rushes with this. I have yet to try it on multiplayer though. Cheers. Glad you liking the game.

Tried this build order. It was so effective! At least we dont have to keep cheesing the ai in order to win!

Agree 100% ! Don't underestimate inspiring broadcast in the mid to late game though.

Sova! Then basically solo colonize or with 5 frigates as fast as you can
Akkan and Kol is so mid at the start.
@@b9904 I respect that! Sova is definitely superior early. I personally enjoy a slightly later powerspike with the Akkan.

I like early exotic factories as I don't have to survey and research and capital ships are done quicker, though yes they do take up slots
There's nothing "abusive" about pirates. Good video though
