Thank you both for a very cogent presentation, and great questions. Watson is a world-changing service and I am awed by its potential ...like who wouldn't be?

No one will ever need more than cloud service
I really wish we were at galaxy life, so far this cloud service has not been overly exciting for the individual. Business loves it, individuals are still waiting for its benefits.

Watson's logo kinda looks like nuclear missiles circling the Earth. It even has impact animations.
    You know. Just saying.?

great interviewer, questions sharp and to the point. definitely a must watch. "only gonna help us. only gonna help us with complex decisions" sounds like hitler's 1930's praise of ibm to me;)

I know apple and IBM work together now. How about Watson and Siri?

No one tells Watson what to think. Watson tells you what to think and trains you not to think.
Effectively the power of mind-control over a conditioned user or populace.

AI is by no means so benign as Dr. Kelly thinks!

So in theory if you would give Watson the same data Einstein had to his disposal it could figure out Relativity? 0_o

Yes, if you taught him; Pythagorus' theorem, the results of the experiment that proves light always travels at a set speed no matter how you measure it and that speed equals distance over time. Then asked him to compute the consequences for time, space (distance) and time, when there is a light clock that's moving relative to a person. He would work it out, if he is trained in the scientific method, he could possibly come to the example of a light clock without being given it, to work out the answer.

The host was way too eager in his speech...let Dr. Kelly speak liberally. Watson will soon be able to make an argument against or with my critique.

Not much of foresight used in his opinion on threats of AI. Avoiding one of the basic questions on what happens when Watson is used to develop the next generation of AI, or humanlike machines. But then again, it's not advantageous business strategy to give reasons for fear. And really nobody knows what's going to happen, and that's what Elon and others are worried about, not the Q&A machines.

Very impressive!, but quite creepy as well..
