    I would love a video of reviews of books you showed in a haul but not read at the time of the haul. I remember a few times you showed a book you have bought and I wonder if you enjoyed it. For example queen's of the wild. I've been flirting with the idea of getting it for a while.

    You’re absolutely right, I do love them! So many of these are new to me, I’m excited to go check them out. I love Blood and Bones. I do end up using substitutions all the time 😂 but still, the subject material is hardly covered anywhere else, it’s such a great resource

      Oh awesome! It’ll be the next book I’ll start reading so that’s good news 🥰🥰

    there's a great book called Valkyrie - The Women of the Viking World by Johanna Katrin Fridriksdottir if you're interested in reading more about valkyries! (if you already know this or talked about it in some other video, I'm sorry!)

    Raven Gramassi passed away from Cancer in early March of 2019 and unfortunately haven't gotten the chance to meet him. From what others have met him, have had nothing but positive things, I have four of his books. The Blood Thorn Witch, What We Knew in the Night, The Cauldron of Memory and The Witches Familiar. All of them are great books for me anyways.
    The Crooked Path, Of Blood and Bones and The Poison Path Herbal Are AWESOME BOOKS and glad they are out cause we truly need those three books. I got the Of Blood and Bones as soon as I saw it at a books store once it came out and been waiting for that particular book since I saw it 7-8 months before it came out in Llewellyn's Website. That's alot of books you got there and I hope you enjoy them, you have quite the haulage ND alot of reading to do!!!

    I'd be interested in a review of "Folk Witchcraft". I know it is one of four books in a series and am curious to know what the writing style and specific content is. (I personally prefer books that are more informative than "preachy" and aren't overly biased.) A review of "13 Pathways" would be good too. ( There are so many books on herbalism I'm wondering if there's anything special about this one.) Thank you for sharing. Always love the hauls.♡

    Nice list! I really want to read some of those books myself, I even have them on my wishlist but alas I already have too many unread books on my bookshelf xD. Though I would be careful with 'of blood and bones', apparently some info on bone preparation and other stuff is not the best and could possibly be dangerous (at least according to some goodreads reviewers that did sound like they knew what they were talking about). Main reason why I haven't bought it yet, sadly right now I don't have enough knowledge to differentiate between good and bad bone/bodily fluids/parts info.

      Oh that sounds concerning 😳 I‘ll read it carefully, thanks for letting me know!

    Brilliant books! 🤩 I loved the 13 pathways of occult herbalism - I think you'd really enjoy Veneficium by Daniel A Schulke as well. 👌💜

    Just wondering how you’d use poisonous plants for? I’d be concerned for safety reasons especially things like hemlock. Just asking out of curiosity. Not judging

      A lot of them can be used for protection but of course also for baneful workings. But yeah one has to be extremely careful when working with them!!

    Hey you should check out "Elves, Witches and Gods" by Cat Heath. I think its the best modern Heathen magic book. I think it will work well the folk practices you already have going.

    People think the more books they buy, the more witchy they become. I also used to buy lots of books, on paganism, spell work, runes, occult stuff etc... and truth is, I never got to read a great deal of them. Now I keep like 10 books, all books I have read many times, books that I use in my daily practise. Less is more.

    • @TheNorseWitch
      @TheNorseWitch  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I don’t think I’m more witchy because I own a lot of books, that doesn’t make any sense 😅 but to me knowledge and learning is extremely important so I want to keep educating myself on different topics. And I do read a lot. I already got through 4 books this year, so I‘m pretty positive that I’ll read them all 😅
      Being judgy without knowing peoples lives is never a cool move.
