I still like this old Hao, he looks way cooler and matured than the new version as if he was a kid in puberty. Here he has a big brother vibes and you can see that he really lived for many-many centuries unlike the new version he... He's like a pranckster.
Couldn't agree more, he was far more imposing and charismatic in the original version of the anime, even if it was not 100% canon, he was still a far better antagonist overall.
@@WhosthatHotspice manga hao in my opinion is still cooler. and in the old one, its fucking cliche its like every other anime the main villain gets beaten up by some sudden power up from the mc and his friends... but in the manga nad new one, they actually use theyre brains and not mindlessly fight and get a sudden power up.
@@ruko5979 Don't know about the manga since I haven't read it, but the 2021 adaptation has been terrible thus far with its rigid animation, awkward directional techniques and lazy screenwriting, so they clearly haven't given the source material as much respect as it should have gotten. (Though it could improve) So whilst the original anime adaptation had a cliche ending, Hao was still a far more imposing and charismatic villain overall due to better use of film direction, fluid animation and story pacing.
