In the 70s we drove our 2 wd trucks and VWs down there no problem.. it was a nude beach type secret vacation spot for
all the 'cool crowd'.. kinda ruined now like everything else.

Not everything is ruined, you just have to go off the popular tracks sometimes. I've been to some places lately that feel like no other human has been. mostly hiking on foot though.
