200+ is heavyweight in Boxing. Jake weighed in at 200 while Perry was about 196. Size difference for sure, cutting to 200 vs not making 200 but the skill difference was the issue not the weight. If anything, the size difference between Jake vs Nate was more pronounced and he made it all 10 rounds.
Mike perry weighted 198 on fight night , jake weighted 228lbs. Thirty pounds makes a difference

Jake definitely was bigger and the weight difference was bigger vs nate then perry, but nate is a much more seasoned brawler and is an actual legend compared to Mike Perry where Mike loss and never made it to a title in the UFC vs Nate who has won titles and beat many prime fighters and never been knocked for 99 percent of his whole career. Nate was the more challenging fight and put up more, but Mike although is very tough and has alot of heart, also wouldn't last against Nate either, people should have known this from the start but casual fans just don't look into shit but what the media throws out. This was an L for Mike before he signed the contract, it's just Mike fell for the trap.

Perry fought this match like a BKFC fighter and not like a boxer and Paul exploited that, didn't have his hands up, chin up in the open, no head movement, standing straight up an down, no mobility from perry, Paul told him he was gonna catch him with his hands down and he did exactly that. Hell if you put this same fight in a BKF ring instead, I think this fight perry would win 1000%
I really wish people would stop calling this a fight, it was a boxing match, completely different to a fight. In a straight up fight, Perry wins all day every day. This was boxing, with limiting rules.
