  • Welcome!
    This video records my Bargue drawing studies I did in the past month. My Bargue studies here are quite small. So in average it only took me 1 to 2.5 hours to finish a page. But I still get to practice the ratios and tonalities.
    There's no short cut when it comes to improving drawing skills, so be patient and start drawing!
    Song Name: My Barge Drawing Practice Vlog
    Artist: Gnaboaix
    Lyrics: Gnaboaix (revision: yohprogrammer)
    Beats: "Dude" by Patrick Patrikios
    Thanks for watching!

    Man, how do you draw them with comparative measurements? It is even very hard to do a sight size drawing and measuring with your pencil.
    How is your proportions are so accurate while you are copying from your phone screen, that's literally insanity?!

    I hate you, My ego has been hurt now I have to study this book because my irrational need to compete which will lead me into months of suffering but will ultimately be much happier because it's probably the right thing to do. Thank you Ganboaix, I was curious if this book would be worth my time or not but It seem it does.

    Do you think bargue plates are a good idea for a beginner trying to learn the fundamentals of drawing?

    • @Gnaboaix
      @Gnaboaix  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes it's good to learn measuring and toning for Bargue drawings. For forms and perspective then maybe look into more materials. :)

    Hello, I like your video. I am about to start this course. My question to you. Can you teach me or explain, how you did make the proportions form your phone to the paper? I am clueless! Great job.

    • @Gnaboaix
      @Gnaboaix  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!
      In this video, I used comparative measurement. Say I'm drawing an arm: from the reference, I see the length of the forearm is 1.2 times the length of the hand, so on my drawing I will make sure that's the case too.
      Also pay attention to angle of the lines, is my line tilting to the left/right comparing to the reference.
      And shapes(both positive and negative). Say the shape of the thumb looks like a snake head, then is my snake head's shape close to the reference I'm copying? Is mine shorter? Fatter? Or something else.
      Plumb lines also helps tremendously. Say from the reference, if I drew a vertical line from tip of the thumb, it will pass thru elbow, we can then observe, is the elbow touching this vertical line? Is the elbow more to the right or to the left in comparison to the thumb. Then make sure in my drawing they have the same location relationship.
      It might be hard to understand just from my writing, but you got the key word you can look up on: "comparative measurement". There are plenty of good videos explain how you can have a good construct, good proportions etc.

      @@Gnaboaix Thanks for your answer. I really like the dynamic of your videos. Your detail is very good,. You seem to be very smart and resourceful. I am saying all this because you are the only one I seen doing from a phone since the method ask for the plate to be next to the drawing one start to draw. That is why I asked about it.
