Solingen: Manhunt continues after Germany knife attack kills three people | BBC News

- Three people have been killed and eight have been injured in a knife attack in the western Germany city of Solingen, police say.
The attacked fled the scene and police are still searching for an "unknown" suspect and police say the motive for is unclear.
Celebrations were under way to mark the 650th anniversary of the city's foundation when the attack happened.
The search is ongoing and police are urging locals to be cautious.

Independent media have spoken with two witnesses. They gave a very good description of TWO suspicious men discussing an attack. Since then certain mainstream media outlets have given a similar description.
German news have said the attacker is of Arab appearance. So just as we expected as soon as we heard about it.
'The public are being warned by police to remain vigilant and not to approach the suspect.'
'Ok,what does he look like?'
'We are not at liberty to discuss the identity of the suspect at this time and advise people not to jump to conclusions!'

I just saw a video on WELT's channel where they give a description of him as 1.7-1.8m Mediterranean looking man with an athletic build. Despite the narrative in these comments, doesn't seem like the media in Germany has shied away from describing him. Also, correct me if I''m wrong, but the police spokesman at 1:46 says "Er ist Flüchtling", which the BBC was too cowardly to translate. Unfortunately the British media will be very reluctant to release this info because it could flare up tensions at home. Very sad and dystopian I know, our country is dying unfortunately.
