    ❤thank you for sharing your very personal and vulnerable story with us all!❤️ This information is so helpful! I have many commonalities with you, including body type (down to height and weight) as well as number of children. I feel like I could have written this exact same story about myself. I understand what it’s like to have so much brain power and time wasted on controlling my weight. And your point about the hormone connection with the IUD was exactly true for me as well!! The gatekeepers of peptide drugs such as ozempic would benefit from hearing the perspective you’ve shared here. It’s not “just 25 pounds” or “just 15 pounds”- it’s all the time and emotional energy surrounding our bodies and how we feel. Especially after 4 babies and breast feeding and the toll that takes on our bodies and self image!!Thank you again for doing such a wonderful job of keeping us informed. I love that you research and share all your knowledge and experiences with us! You are- now and always have been-a very beautiful person (inside and out) and I am so happy you’ve found a solution that frees up your time and energy for finding joy in all the ways you choose! 🎉❤

      Oh my dear friend thank you! This was my hope. I know I’m not alone obviously in this battle of the bulge. I’m so happy we relate on so many of the same issues. I think the doctors who are prescribing the compound pharmacy semiglutude get that these 20 lbs can make all the difference for many and that’s the reason I was able to get it. I hope the price comes down as it scales and helps so many 😘

    Kim, to look at you I would never have thought you faced the battles you did. You are such a strong woman and you give me hope! I haven't faced a weight problem, but since I had my stage 4 cancer treated with Cisplaten, my life has changed. Cisplatin causes advanced aging and until that time everyone had always seen me as much younger. So this has been so hard for me to face. You have shown me that no matter what our obstacles are, we can still take charge of our life's and make improvements.
    You were beautiful before and you are a strong and beautiful woman now. Thanks for sharing with us and setting a courageous example for us! 😊🤗❤️

      Jewels oh my friend I’m so sorry you went thru cancer! I’m happy to hear you hopefully free from it now. Those drugs are so hard. I have another friend from YT/ig who lives in Hawaii. Young breast cancer in her 20’s and the meds also caused her changes. You ladies are inspirations to me because having your body eaten up by cancer and the drugs to treat it has to be the most difficult concept to accept. Thank you for your compliments and for seeking solutions for yourself. I love feeling free to search out and source what I need and when I share it’s even better that it can connect us in these real issues

    What a gorgeous family.💕 You are so blessed. No one should shame anyone over 25 pounds losses! You said it at 5'2 25 pound is make or break. The weight has no where to go to except out. Also the Ozempic shaming also needs to stop. I think it is a game changers for people prone to pre- diabetes /diabetes through weight gain which is most people. Prevention to keep weight under control is important also to keep from going diabetic or pre-diabetic. Personally I use Berberine 2 times a day which is considered a natural Ozempic. It works slower but it will get you there. I was at 150 my max weight now I am 130. I was plateauing at 145 the weight would not budge. Finally through keto and berberine it helped me lose the weight I have another 15 to go. 115 is my happy place I'm 5'6 but I think it just looks better on me than 120-125. Thank you for sharing your story you are always so honest. One other thing that might help you with your hair journey, try MSM powder. I dye my hair so I have to watch it as my hair grows like a weed on it and I can not keep up with the dye jobs sometimes as that is an all day event. MSM should help you get to where you want to be hair wise fairly quickly. All that said your hair is insane, wow you have a lot of hair I do too but wow you don't even notice any breakage on you. 💕 Don't cut it that would be a shame.

    Kim, i can relate! my story is gaining 40lbs first year of menopause. I just turned 57, and during my peak of menopause I caught covid twice. I have heard that hair loss is post-covid trauma. I also went on the carnivore diet, which also triggers hair loss. I have stressed so much over this that it doesn't help. Your video gives me hope.Thank you for having the strength to share your story. This video is going to help so many of us deal with hair loss and weight gain. It's not just about 25 extra pounds. Thank you XOXOXOX❤️

      Thank you so much and I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s not just about 25lbs. And I believe carnivore like semaglutude triggers that metabolic stress even though carnivore is packed full of nutrition you eventually eat less bc the blood sugar is stable so calories dip and that could the hair shed just like with semaglutude. I’m confident my hair will return but it’s going to be a hot mess this next year 😂

    OMG I almost started crying watching this vlog. You have given me the confidence I need to just take the step for myself. I had gastric bypass and now at 48 all I can do is think about eating. I gained most of my weight back and I'm so uncomfortable carrying it around. I mentioned the shots to my family and they made me feel like crap for wanting it. But YOU you breathe new life into me and I'm sold. Did you go to a clinic or order yours online? Again thank you so much for being vulnerable enough to tell your story. Thankyou so much for sharing, I was 248 lbs and have lost 48 lbs, but it took me 2 yrs! So I’ve started using ozempic to help me along, it wasn’t a decision I took lithely, but so glad I did. My food addiction is real, and the once a week injections have really curbed my appetite to the point of sometimes being repulsed by food, and I’m totally fine with that. For the first time in my life(I’m 61) I have control over food, I never ever thought this would be possible. Yes, sometimes I do overindulge, but never to the extent like before, the weight is coming off and I have a renewed sense of hope. Wheather someone has 20 lbs or 200lbs to lose, this drug can help achieve your goals along with a healthy diet and no crazy excersice routines.

    I started Semaglutide about 3-4 weeks ago and have lost about 13 pounds so far where previously I couldn't lose anything. I have an autoimmune disorder that keeps me insulin intolerant. This has been amazing for me but not without its setbacks. My first injection was .25 and I did it in the stomach. I threw up violently for 48 hours straight. Missed 3 days of work. The tiredness and stomach pain was through the roof. I ended up becoming majorly dehydrated and had to go to a wellness center to get one of their vitamin bags through IV. Along with anti nausea and prilosec. Now, I'll also say I should have known this may happen. I am only 5'1 and very small boned overall so I am sensitive to all medications. Even alcohol I cant drink more than 2 drinks or I'll vomit. At first I was devastated. I had my hopes set on this as my solution but with such a violent reaction, I didn't think I could take it. So I waited about 1.5 weeks and did another injection but I altered it a bit: Now I only inject it in my legs, never the stomach. Also I dropped the dose in half and increase it marginally every week and it works great. I also take a Zofran and prilosec 3 hours before my injection. Since doing it this way, I have had NO side affects. Once in a while a wave of nausea will overcome me but its literally like one-two minutes then it's gone. Food is no longer on my mind and that's probably the best part. It's so freeing. Also, I am 5'1 and started at 150 lbs. My goal is 110 which is still high for my natural weight but I am totally happy for that if I can get there. I am also 55 years old. Doesn't help lol
    And thank you Kim for being so brave with your story. You have helped me tremendously. :) I know it took alot to share your photos but honestly they are inspiring to think where you are now and it can be the same for others on the everlasting weight loss journey.

    I was just watching Dr Amir Karam’s opinion on ozempic and any type of surgery and how dangerous it is. I think he said there’s already been a death linked. He recommended stopping it at least a month or longer before scheduled surgeries. Made me worry about you. But thank goodness you’re okay. Hair loss is better than death.

    • @SpaandTell
      @SpaandTell  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Trish, obviously, death is a very severe outcome, and I think everyone needs to be careful to not fear-monger. More people in this country than anyone realizes are on these peptides for weight loss. The few cases of stomach issues and related deaths are not conclusive.
      I'm not suggesting Dr. Amir is wrong, Im only suggesting that in this world where people fight for views, polarizing or fear-mongering concepts work, so please take all things with a grain of salt, i try my best to not do this and be real. However, I see this all day, every day, and it really bothers me. People seem to forget about the HUGE Elephant stomping our country to death: OBESITY. More people die every year in this country from being on insulin indefinitely and staying obese. Their quality of life is gone. They simply exist to inject insulin, keeping big pharma rich.
      Large corporations have too much to lose if the obesity epidemic ends. Some suggest the negative to these peptides is you always need to use them to maintain them; however, what's the alternative if you have a weight issue? stay obese, develop type two diabetes, feel miserable, inject insulin every day, get your feet amputated, and then eventually die. This is the alternative for most in our country.
      My point is that we need to be very realistic about what we are talking about. 300,000 people die annually in the US from obesity; that is 10% of our society. Therefore, medicine needs to stop following the money (insulin) and start following results. People need to be their own advocates and stop accepting the healthcare scam. The reason these peptides aren't being pushed more and celebrated as the most significant breakthrough in the 21st century is due to the fact that Big Pharma can't find a proprietary factor and, therefore, will not invest the money into the research to make them widely available. I hope this makes sense xoxo

      @@SpaandTell That’s weird, this reply just showed up in my notifications yesterday, but then it says you wrote it two months ago. More sensor-ship? 🙄 My comment was not meant to fear monger, sorry if it came off that way. I was more just sharing that people looking to do planned surgeries while on semaglutide should know they need to be careful because some plastic surgeons are not advising patient of the risks related, because it’s still so new. They might not know of the complication it can have on the body, when surgery is performed. And they are learning that stopping it prior to surgery, for a period of time should be recommended. I’m all for people doing what they feel is right for their own bodies. I agree with the points you make in your reply.

    • @SpaandTell
      @SpaandTell  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much, Nelly. I think initmacy was an important aspect to cover and too many don't put enough emphasis on it. Divorce is obviously rampant in our society for a myriad of reasons, but our relationship was suffering because I was avoiding being connected. Our relationship improved because once the voices in my head of doubt and body frustration faded I could relax and enjoy.
      It's not right, but I do understand when guys look outside of their relationship when wives avoid intimacy due to self-doubt issues. Human beings require physical and emotional intimacy, and many women are wired in a manner where, following children, these desires change. However, their partners didn't.
      Jason never looked outside our marriage due to my lack of desire, and he was truly patient. I'm happy to say his patience paid off and we have never been more connected and on the same page. Now, after 16 years of marriage, it feels like we have started the second phase of our marriage with a brand new perspective and desire to stay together. xoxo

I understand objectively it’s a normal weight, but I AM NOT COMFORTABLE. I am most comfortable and happy in my skin at around 125. This impacts what I wear, events I go to etc. I feel like I can’t find people in my situation because they are attacked because they are already a normal BMI and their subjective experience is totally disregarded. I just got approved for semaglutide on Monday and I am very optimistic and hopeful that this helps.

      Omg you’re almost like me! I’m 5’4-5’5 and I was stuck at 163lbs which is the heaviest I’ve ever been and I felt so uncomfortable and stopped even going out because I’ve always been smaller and petite. I’ve been on semaglutides from skinnyrx for a month now and I’m almost down to the 140’s again! Just one thing, do not drink alc! I almost ended up in the ER from it, I fainted twice the next day and almost got off them because I was so sick. Since we’re already on the smaller side, you have to remind yourself to EAT, the meds work so good that I can legit go all day with nothing to eat and I feel fine. They will definitely change your life, just do your research and eat healthy, take fiber, vitamins, and lots of protein! 😊 good luck on your journey!

    Oh my gosh!!!! You are 💯% the closest I have ever come to finding someone with the same journey!!!!!! ✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️ so many similarities and later I am going to fully bullet point. Seriously, this is giving me the best support and validation. I love all of this.....catch you later.
    1. Low bmi gastric sleeve in Tijuana 2016 - 186 SW, 5 ft tall
    2. Super successful!!!! I loved it and learned so much. Food sensitivities ✅️ , how everything me ✅️ I loved the entire process ✅️
    3. Plastics after weighing in at 121 pounds ✅️
    4. Fast forward....2021 started regain....
    5. Went on vacation July 2022 and had that vacation pic that made me cringe....i was now in the 140s and freaked out at the idea of failure. Weight-loss had given me life. I felt so. much better! I got to work trying to get a hold of my health.
    6. Just like the sleeve i did a massive deep five and by August 10th i found out about semaglutide compounds. Fortunately, my amazing doctor had just started prescribing semaglutide as a compound and i went all in. I actually remember telling him in the office that I'm going all in and he said....i know you will. I love his support and rhe support his entire office always gives me. He's so worth a self-pay.
    Stay tuned...... for the entire semaglutide journey. 🤩

    • @tamib846
      @tamib846 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SpaandTell I spent the first night in the surgery center, and had a nurse take care of me ( plastic surgeon also spent the night).
      Yes, I had to walk before they’d discharge me to home. Once home, I used a walker.
      It was recommended by my surgeon to get “X-Parel,” in my IV for an extra charge. It turned out to be beneficial, because my blood pressure plummeted post-operatively, and then I was only allowed Tylenol for pain. If you have the option for that drug, I highly recommend getting it.
      Sleeping was miserable, because I could never get comfortable for too long, even on meds. I slept 2 nights in my recliner, then tried my bed, then two different couches, lol. I finally settled in on one of my couches, and my hubby slept on the other couch. (I’m still uncomfortable rolling over when I sleep at night.)
      I’m 5 weeks post op today, and I would still do this surgery again, despite the unfortunate problems I’ve had.
      Thank you.

    I am glad you are sharing this. I am 28 and I was skinny all my life. Never struggled with weight or weight loss until I was prescribed SSRIs. I gained 26 lbs in 3 MONTHS. It’s been TWO years with this weight still on me. Although I never had issues loosing weight in the past after the medication I can’t loose 1 pound no matter what diet I do. Even cutting out all carbs. I went to an endocrinologist who told me the medication affected my hormones and slowed my metabolism. It affected my glucose and changed the way my body metabolised weight even though my glucose levels are not clinical. Because of this the won’t prescribe me ozempick. It has made me not want to leave the house. Hate how I look and not recognise myself. I hate getting dressed every morning and until I loose this weight I will be truthfully unhappy.

    Dear Kim, this video resonated so well with me as I had the Mirena IUD installed in 2021 due to adenomyodis which caused me to have heavy and painful bleedings during my period. Since then, It has been a struggle to control my weight and I have sometimes gained excessive weight I.e. upwards of 25 pounds from my desired weight range. As a 41 years old woman, my confidence was at its lowest levels and I felt like no body could help me as my OBGYN only advised me to eat less and move more which I honestly tried but failed woefully. I started using Wegovy (in combination with healthy eating, intermittent fasting and walking) 5 weeks ago and I have lost at least 20 pounds so far without excessive hunger pangs and constantly thinking about food. I will like to stay on the medication a bit longer at least until I find a solution to my hormonal issues. After my next two shots I intend trying to do the injections bi-weekly or longer for weight maintenance. Thanks so much and hey, you have a new subscriber 😊.

How exciting that you’ve found a solution and aid. These peptides have been incredible for me and in January I’m releasing a video on the peptides I recently ordered and why. I can’t share on here where to get them or how to put them together bc YT terminates channels for sharing that info. So crazy! Kim, wow I did not know you the single sleeve in 2017. I did not know they did that for people unless they had more weight to loose. Good for you! Seriously, on a shorter person the weight gain does look very different!
    I am not tall either, in my 20’s I was always between 115-120 I worked out consistently and ate very healthy, and was also very high energy.
    have had 3 pregnancies, had two babies. The weight came off after a time with both full term births. I went up to 154 with my daughter at 30, 160 with my son at 35. I am just about 5’3 3/4. Before both my full term pregnancies I started my weight between 120-124 lbs
    I was in my 30s for both (got pregnant at 34, delivered at 35 after my second baby). I lost weight after a year with my daughter, by diet and a lot (1- 2 1/2 hours a day) of exercise 6 days a week, and eating very healthy. It took me about a year after to get down to 123-124 . I was 30. I could never get lower than that again. I maintained by keeping up this intensity I got pregnant with my son at 34, was 124 went up to 160 a year later was down to 126-128.
    The problem for me started during the pandemic. I was at a really good place in my head and body in April of 2020. That month we moved (during the pandemic) which was a blessing, as our old house was a very small ranch with only one full bathroom, for 5 people. I have an older bonus daughter as well. So we moved, into a “fixer upper” with plans to do that. Our offer was accepted on our new house March 9 2020. Our house sold when we listed it within a week for the asking price! The buyers asked to move the settlement date up by a month it was supposed to be May 19, 2020. As the deadline neared I took less and less care to take time to move my body, woke out got super stressed with everyone home all the time. The new house needed so much work, we thought to do much of it ourselves, and loved the larger house and the large yard and my dream indoor pool. With the kids home all the time I hyper focused on them and helping them with school work, and trying to be super mom. I had difficulty with my bonus daughter our family was struggling. We had no couch (threw the old away when we moved) ripped all the flooring out at the new house the day after moving in because horrible smells from years of neglect on part of previous owner. That had been planned we didn’t know we would have to order everything on line and the wait times and prices were about to skyrocket for lumber🤷‍♀️
    I gained weight off and on for two years. Then December of 2022 my entire family got covid, I stopped taking my estrogen and progesterone (I was peri menopausal since 35 weeks found out within a month of my sons birth). I stopped taking that and all the stress and that caused my to gain a lot of weight.
    By July of 2023 I was up to my heaviest weight (160). I dieted, exercised, ate no sweets, (I have issues with eating sweets or salty late at night). I felt ashamed of the way I looked (my husband was supportive) but I lost drive as I didn’t want him to look at me and see me this way. I was embarrassed. My son’s friend came over and asked who I was (he hadn’t seen us in a month it was his bestie). I was so embarrassed. I tried, in September to join an app to keep me accountable for eating and exercising. I was 154 at that time, by the end October of 2023 I was stuck even though I was exercising to exhaustion, and eating about 1000 calories a day. I was devastated. I went back to my endocrinologist who put me back on my hormones, encouraged me to take adderall (which I had in the past, but didn’t have any weight loss with( he prescribed it for my endometriosis (it is miraculous for helping ending inflammation so no more super painful periods) also he said I am definitely have add. I did not want to take it because it made me super anxious in the past and never helped me loose any weight. He prescribed me anti anxiety meds (Valium to counteract that at a very low dosage(. Within two weeks of taking I started to feel like myself again anxiety was gone and I could think clearly. The weight (I was still exercising, and eating healthy stopped night eating strictly in July). I started gentle rebounding, and doing more Pilates, yoga, and movement work outs rather than intensive kickboxing and high intensity workouts. The weight finally started coming off. I still have a ways to go. I hate the scale so I go by how my clothes fit. I couldn’t fit into my leggings, any of my jeans, even sweats were tight and my shirts had all become skin tight and short. My shirts are now loose again, and end at the lower waist length. My leggings are not see through, sweats are roomy, I am getting somewhere. It feels really good!!!
    Thank you for sharing, and being brave! Good for you. You help so many by doing so!!!!
    I started watching your micro- needling videos in November of 2019 I think. I have watched your journeys and adventures off and on for years. Thank you for being authentic, even when it is hard or when things don’t go as planned!!!! I love your content.
    This video has given me more hope and motivation to keep going. It made me feel like I’m not alone, with the weight gain loss difficulties.
    I am not getting to any class at 5:30-6 am to go to classes. I am showing up though, and have started, and will continue to be accountable. Thank you for sharing your weight loss journeys, and how hard you have been working. We all need help sometimes. It’s important we feel good about ourselves. Thank you for sharing this information! I also have lost a lot of weight with Semaglutide, about 60lbs, I also felt like I was loosing some hair but I don’t regret using the drug. I have struggled with weight my whole life and find it so freeing to not be controlled by my appetite and cravings anymore.

LOL i dont know what happened? maybe my full on jones for sweets! i want to try this, but like you i have great hair. its one of my fave things about me. so i guess i will have to decide which is more important? hmm, anyway you look amazing! thanx kim

    Kim, you look AMAZING! I know I tell you that all the time but you do. As a woman who hit menopause and gained a ton of weight I wish I had the courage you had to find someone to help give these solutions. My problem is I don’t eat enough.
    Will you have to stay on the peptides forever to maintain? Is there long term affects ? Thank you so much for doing this video. It has given me a lot to think about.
    Happy Holidays for you and the family! Much Love too❤️🎄🙏🏻💚

      So kind of you Donna and you do always flatter me with kindness, thank you. As far as the peptides I’m just not certain at this point. They say that eventually you get to a maintenance phase. I’m not sure that will look like for me, is it a few injections per year to aid me or is it every 6-8 weeks? This next year should reveal what I need now that I’ve stabilized. It helps so much with blood sugar it’s hard to not always want it 😂 and Merry Christmas to you and your family as well 😘

    Hi Kim! I follow you on Instagram, TH-cam and Amazon. I wanted to let you know that I have been using Revela hair growth serum for probably 6 months (prior to the sale to IL MAKIAGE) and it has shown a lot of promise. My shedding is from epilepsy medicine.
    Thank you for sharing your wgt loss experience as well, bc before going on epilepsy meds (and many others), along with early menopause, I gained well over 100lbs. No diet works for me. I can get down 20-30lbs and then stall. It’s a struggle for someone who all their life has had body dysmorphia. Now, with good reason.

    • @SpaandTell
      @SpaandTell  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      As you know, I can fully relate. Our bodies being out of our control causes depression and certainly body dysmorphia. I’m not my best self when body issues drag me down like an anchor. No one wants to be over weight and I think that’s why all of a sudden the whole “body positivity” concept popped up attempting to value obesity. It’s incredibly misplaced. I’m not suggesting people shouldn’t try to love themselves but pretending that excess weight is ideal or something to be happy with is incredibly ridiculous. I don’t think most people buy this random attempt to switch our minds. I don’t want to be over weight and when I was, I was not going to sit there and say “aren’t I beautiful at 190 lbs at 5’2”?” It’s crazy. I was sick and dying from the weight plus incredibly embarrassed that it had happened so rapidly and I felt completely out of control. All the decisions I made returned my sense of control which helped me find value again and strength. We all see ourselves differently and if someone is truly happy at 5’2” 200 lbs that’s their life and I would never attempt to tell them anything for themselves. That’s their life and they can live it as they choose. However, I believe most over weight people are not happy, feel out of control, and feel helpless to resolve it. So instead of striving to find solutions they relegate themselves to the idea that they will always be overweight. This will rob them of opportunities, freedom, happiness, self esteem, and finally years on this earth as their life expectancy is less. 10% of society each year does from obesity. It kills more people and costs society more than any other issue. I’m happy to share I found solutions and got my body back. People may think i made radical decisions but we are living in a time with radically different food and our bodies are obviously not equipped to handle this abundance of manufactured food. I hope what I shared helps you find a solution to your struggle because it’s a real issue and there is nothing vain about wanting life over death 😘

    • @vickiSFL
      @vickiSFL 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You know what? All the money the government spends on other things BESIDES trying to help get (and keep) people at a healthy weight is a crime and a waste of taxpayer dollars. Rather than pay for the type of weight loss that actually works, they prefer to pay for the heart, cholesterol, high BP (etc etc) drugs to pump in our bodies that just slow our metabolism down even further. I just discovered one of my painkillers (non-narcotic because I’m trying to avoid that route as long as possible) for joint pain from a rare autoimmune disease that I have causes weight gain so I took myself off of that. I don’t need another one on top of the antidepressant that I’ve tried multiple times to wean myself off of (unsuccessfully) and epilepsy meds which I have to take in order to function already cause me to gain. I can cut calories down as much as possible so I don’t continue to gain more but I never lose. I hate it and I understand your journey and decisions very well.

      Thank you very much 😘 Jason did it all on his own on carnivore. I do like keto and carnivore but I can also be an emotional eater so I would cycle on and off. He’s been amazing just eating meat. So I hope we can share multiple ways to achieve goals:) as for Semaglutide they do suggest to tapper and find a maintenance mode. I’ve scaled back to once a month and moving forward I’m going to see how I feel. If I start feeling ravenous I will dose but it’s truly changed my cravings so it will be interesting to see how much I need it in 2024
