He did it all wrong! First you carefully wash the sand fleas in the purest spring water (slightly chilled). Then in the skillet melt 2-3 tablespoons of butter, add some fresh minced garlic, salt, and pepper (maybe a dash of cayenne pepper). After a minute or so, AND THIS IS THE IMPORTANT STEP, throw away the sand fleas and add shrimp to the pan. Cook thoroughly and enjoy!

My dad was a fisherman n my kids father was a fisherman too. It’s a different lifestyle for sure. I live in Louisiana where seafood rains supreme. I grow mostly everything I eat n catch too. Catch us mostly seafood. Sometimes gators n rabbits n when it’s hunting time. If I get lucky I can land some deer. I use to have many ducks too, like over 100 something. 🤦🏻‍♀️ it was wild but I had plenty of eggs to eat. Didn’t buy eggs for years. I def eat mostly organic because of my lifestyle but I wouldn’t change it for nothing. Fishing, hunting n farming is fun. I’m currently in my clamming mode till fall sets in n water gets too cold but until then I’ve been catching clams for last couple of weeks. So I have enough clams to make clam chowder for my kids durning winter. Once u do it I think u will like it.

you were in a bit of a hurry there. You need leave them in clean water half hour or so so it will flush out sand caught in the shell and its hairy legs....lol, boil them, shell it. Just like you do prawns, the insides will come out as you shell it, but there is a art to it just like prawn or shelling of a crab. rinse it well, add a bit of oil, garlic, pepper, salt and to spice it up, add a bit of chillie powder... Crunchy and yummy.... Nutritious ? I wouldn't have a clue as there is not much of anything in it LOL...
Oh by the way, they are seasonal... they come ashore to breed.

Atleast those sand crabs were DEAD when he started cooking them! 🤣
Squidward was so starving he'd gladly eat another living creature, first stunning it, then cook it alive...This episode kind of weirded me out as a kid. He's got quite a sadistic side to him when I think about it...😱😂
Also, sand crabs look highly unappealing as food. I'll just stick to catching them and releasing them when I'm done. They're too cute.

@HONESTO UNO So basically for 24 hours each year the sand fleas are allowed to commit any crime they want without being punished. If you don't purge them before cooking all that pent up anger will remain inside of them (hence the red colour) and it will ruin the taste.
