Black Sails | No happy ending

Well. This started out as a silverflint video, then Miranda insisted to be part of it and who am I to say no to her? So it turned into a Silver/Flint/Miranda/Thomas/Madi video, my favorite polycule.
I was totally inspired by this amazing video by lucystonersix ( • [happy ending] [black ... ) and also this heartbreaking one by catbfs ( • strange pairs | black ... ) so credits to them, they are amazing.

So... this is the first fanvid I've watched since finishing the show just tonight (I've watched other fanvids, but while still binging, so there were gaps in what I understood). Fate just sort of plopped this right into my recommended feed just as I was trying to stop crying over the ending. My mission failed, because now I'm crying again. 😭😅 I want to convince myself that Silver's story was real, but... I'm not sure I believe him. Excellent job with this, even if it is a knife right to the heart! I'm so glad people are still making vids for this amazing show!

Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I'm usually a "good ending" believer, I want to believe that Silver loved Flint too much at that point and he couldn't ever kill him. But. Sometimes I just want to make myself suffer and this is the result. Sorry about that 😅 we can cry together.

So true! I'm gonna have to reconvince myself that the happy ending is also just as likely, lol. I knew going into the show that the end comes down to how much you trust Silver... but I thought the choices were "is he still a lying con artist or not." I'd never considered, "is he so damaged inside that he'd do *anything* to escape the unending horrors of war," and was caught offguard by that insinuation in the final eps. 😢 But I agree that he'd be just as desperate to try to find a way to save Flint. ❤️

When I saw that notification, my mind kinda bugged because well, I have an unfinished edit on this song for Black Sails and I was like "shit I missed my chance, someone else did it before me" lol but after have watched it, I see that our videos are really different from each other (so I will be able to post my own version) and I really loved your version, it's such a beautiful video! Matching lyrics is on point, the editing is beautiful, just GORGEOUS dear !
