- If you're experiencing paper jams on your HP LaserJet 1010/1018/1020/1022 printer, don't worry - it's a common issue that can be easily fixed. In this video, we'll show you step-by-step how to clear paper jams from your printer and get it back up and running.
THANKS for the video!
To do this BETTER, instead of taping the solenoid, take it out: it is held by only one screw. Once you taken it out, you can see that there is molten (sound dampening) foam which causes the solenoid to stick. Just scrape that molten foam away, and that fixes the problem properly. (For me the tape just wasn't enough.)
Thank you. Cleaning the solenoid fixed the problem.
Fixed. I used lubricant spray.
Problem solved. Thank you so much!
After replacing the pickup roller and separation pad with no luck, this did the trick. I still can't figure out why it was sticking (all parts were clean and didn't stick when I moved them manually). Your tape solution fixed it immediately.
Glad it helped!
Thank you sooooo much for this solution, you save my time because use my laserjet 1018 with the top tray, one by one is not very cool 😂 So now the botom one work perfectly 🙏🏼
And yes as mfelician said, i thinking about juste clean the solenoid after removing it.
Thanks dear, I have the same problem hope I can solve it in the same way.
VERY HELPFUL!
I tried cleaning the molten foam in the solenoid as @mfelician suggested. The solenoid didn’t stick any more. However, the paper still gets stuck after printing the first page. What else can I check?
Actually, the piece of tape is needed! now it works! amazing!
It's hard to say, there's not enough information. The first one is completely clean and comes out of the printer? If you print only one sheet, does the second one also go into the printer?
