Just watched Rebel Ridge. Absolutely well done. Well acted, intriguing from get go, and I love that there was no forced romance. Also that he kicked ass without killing anybody, thats when you know you're The Guy.
AnnaSophia has always been sooo cool to me, I grew up with Bridge to Terebithia and it was the stuff of legend the way that movie tore our hearts up! 🥹 love that she was inspired by the iconic Charlie's Angels and she would play an amazing younger sister to Cameron Diaz!!
Don Johnson picking The Revenant instead of those old movies from 60s- 80s like most of actors at his age is so refreshing. He's not ashamed or afraid to acknowledge movies that made after 2000s are good too
With two leads I’ve honestly never seen before, they were amazing and magnetic, its pretty cool seeing AnnaSophia bounce back from child actor in a big way, im sure she’s been in projects for a while but she was absolutely amazing here, a great range, hope to see more of her in bigger projects. And Aaron Pierre is just absolute perfection, not just action hero, but engaging protagonist with layers to him.
This movie deserves an oscar. The level of writing, direction, and acting is on an otherworldly level. The best movie I have watched since Boon Joon Ho's Parasite. The level of realism is also something I have never before seen in an action movies. The main character continues to drive a car after the tyres have been shot! This movie is essentially Rambo but a million times better and more realistic. 😱😱😱
Apparently Aaron Pierre will do the voice of Mufusa in the new movie who’s coming out in December so the fact lion king is in his favorites must be very cool for him
