How do you know what timeframe chart most represents these price action strategies? I always get confused because the different timeframe charts all show different things when looking for support and resistance

Because i remembered you spoke about market cycles, so would you say that since the market WAS in an uptrend then it consolidated into a range, wouldn’t the guess/expectation be that the market may head in a downtrend after testing the resistance of the range? watch the candles. it is hitting support and hitting resistance. is it hitting one a little harder. rejecting one a little more. is one giving a bit. I will give an example. Gold was in a funk between 1730 and 1700 more and more it was hitting the bottom rather then the top and finally it got through just a little. and then a little more. but note... it went up a little higher then it had before off the last rejection down before it finally smashed through. it's like banging on a wall and building up a bigger run before blasting through. You can look at any chart and see this over and over again. building, building, building.... and a bit bigger pullback before the boom.
There is a good example on why those signs might not always be true at 08:52 right above his webcam slightly on the right. You can clearly see a decending triangle but at the end it goes wayyy up.
You're exactly right, no concept or method works 100% of the time, but we use cherry-picked charts to teach a specific concept! In our experience, the method works 60%-70% of the time depending on the market condition (a 10% to 20% "edge")

Thanks for the concepts Rayner, but in those examples you gave at the end of the video don't you think there is an equal likelihood of breaking down too because on the higher timeframes a correction seems due before the trend continues upwards?

When I analyze a chart in a german stock exchange (lets say "xetra"), then the candlestick pattern looks different than other stock exchange charts for the exact same stock. For example the netflix chart right now has a green weekly candle in xetra but in the nasdaq stock exchange it shows a red candle. What would you recommend and why? Hey there Sebastian, We do recommend that you focus on the market direction of the Index, as the index usually represents the overall "tide" of the market Also, we do suggest you focus on what the long-term trend is on the markets, and only use candlesticks as a way to enter a trade!

Can anyone explain why an ascending wedge is a reversal pattern, but higher highs/higher lows is bullish? To me its the ascending wedge reversal which doesn't make sense, are things dependent on trend? Thanks
