Nice sword! I see you’re interested in Japanese swords and it’s a good workout for sure. Just pointers, you’re using a lot of your forearms and shoulders so you probably may feel sore there. Katanas cut off a very small section close to the top 1/3 of the blade. Try using your hips more to drive the sword and provide power, a lot of control comes from lats and legwork. After an hour of swings, you should feel it mostly in your back and legs. You’ll find you can cut better with minimal effort and build a solid foundation for further study.
