Even if assisted suicide was legal, there would another huge roadblock. Life insurance. How would you go about committing assisted dying and still have life insurance be paid out to your loved ones? Because suicides aren't covered for life insurance
@@paulmichael7644That's not necessarily true, but I surely wouldn't risk it....I understand the argument for legally assisted suicide, but somehow I just can't quite buy it....idk...I suppose it's the Christian in me....❤Y
Life is making choices. By my experience of Christ, I can choose. When I was diagnosed with cancer, I chose to be like millions of others and accepted treatment, and sat for months along with at least 5 others until it was eradicated, this time. If I get it again I won't put my body through it but will ask for end of life care on nhs, a morphine driver insterted under the shoulderbade, the staff turn up until overdose
God created and made you, he gave you life. You have no right to take your life. It's not yours. Don't do it. Murder is a sin. Killing yourself is a sin. The wages of sin is death. Death and destruction. You think cancer sucks? Think cancer is painful?! It's nothing compared to hell. Cancer is for a short time, cancer is suffering here on earth but eternity in heaven there is no more pain, no tears, no sadness. But if you die in sin, in murder, then it's eternity in hell. Which is forever pain, nothing compared to cancer. NOTHING!
Whether you agree or not it's murder. Most people who are for AD believe that AD ends the suffering of an individual but much like suicide the suffering passes on to the next victim, people don't know how to suffer well because they see no hope You can only go through with this process if you believe there will be no hope!/life after death. But life is made real and true because of the suffering one has to endure. Life is an undeserved gift not an entitled inheritance which you can forgo with any backlash or consequence. Everyone will make an account of the life they had stewardship over and no excuses such as "I was tired", "I was scared", "I didn't know" or "I gave up" will be accepted. This is all a cover-up for cowardice, and weak-spirited people to avoid criticism Put your trust in Jesus and he will make you whole(lack nothing) again and forever
And a week later we won the next step. I cannot thank Kim enough as I have campaigned with dignity in dying for 2 decades my mother who took her own life this year for ten years before I followed her. I cannot express the relief as a terminally ill person that this bill and Kim's compassion has brought it cannot be allowed to fail now. There has been so many deaths so much trauma caused by the current state of then law. This gives hope and compassion to those who need it the most.
WHO ARE YOU TO REMOVE HIS FREE AGENCY?! If he wishes to be assisted out of his Cancer, that should be his decision to make! He does not try to tell you what to do! You sound like Lucifer, when he offered to force all of humanity to follow Christ, if only he (Lucifer) was given credit for " saving humanity!" Jesus rejected Lucefers' temptation, knowing "free agency" was part of GOD'S plan.
It seems pretty clear-cut; if you don't want it, you don't have to choose it. But if you do choose it, you should also enjoy that same freedom of choice. Why is this a problem???
@@martydav9475 Yes they have, that’s a major change in 2024, but it is one of neutrality. Look at Canada, where I am. It started off for those with terminal painful diseases and now we have the government offering it to those who can't pay bills and they now want to offer to children under the age of 18 without the need for parenting consent
Why should anyone, other than yourself, have the right to decide when you check out? Life has no meaning. Yes, you can give it some meaning if you wish, if it helps in some way but this isn't how everyone sees life. If someone has a terminal illness then they should have the right to check out when they decide to, not when some incurable disease or some other illness decides it. If life isn't for you, if you get nothing from it then you also should have the right to a dignified death. Life isn't for everyone.

This should have been brought in long ago as for decades we've had the nonsense of doctors having to go "under the counter" in order to ease people's passing from this world. This is long overdue.
There has never been dignity in death. Choosing your own death is akin to selling your soul to the devil. It's not yours to end or sell, but then it becomes a thing in a world of non-believers mislead by the whispering of Satan's lies.
It is insanity to give permission to the state to take a life. We are really stepping off the ledge here.
This is thoughtful compassion! Why force people to live in pain and misery when they are terminally ill?!
Assisted dying, the Genocide
There is a reason for every beating heart. Murder stops a human heart from beating.

Change the law if the person had a terminal illness. If they didn't then there is no pay out. Simple.
