  • Check out the "Hellfire Pass" memorial museum and walking trail which takes you party along the disused Burma-Thailand Railway. This was built in WW II by allied prisoners of war and civilian labourers who suffered and died constructing and maintaining this railway under the control of their Japanese captors.
    It was called "Hellfire Pass" because the sight of emaciated prisoners labouring with burning torches resembled a scene from "Hell".

    It is hard and difficult work. In the construction of the railroad, this is a monument that will never be forgotten
