    Great video! I was only looking at electric boards but it was hard to justify the price for 30 minutes of run time then take it home and charge it ... I'm now pretty convinced that I need a gas powered board and I think I will be buying one soon!

    I give to petrol because I can bring it by myself. And it can serve you 3-5 years very easy. Battery performance will be down each year...

    Personally I think I’d prefer the gasoline powered one. I don’t want to buy multiple batteries and I have lots of endurance so I believe I’d want more ride time than a battery’s charge would allow.

      For 100 KG i would suggest a petrol one, they are more powerful for a heavy rider. Electric will not be ok too but not as fast with your weight and less riding time. Ideal weight for electric is 70-75kg rider max.

    Jetsurf petrol is still very easy to learn if you have some kind of board, throttle and water skills. Took me about 5 min to get riding. Had many friends learn the basics in less then 30 min.

    Weight isn't really a big problem bc you'll be standing on it the duration, just a little bit more inconvenient during transportation. Might invest in extra batteries ... duration and quality of the ride is really the biggest selling point.

    Millie is the future of TH-cam reviews....great work and some fantastic info. I own 2 dfi petrol and love the fact a fuel tank with me on the beach I can ride all day with my family. And Mike is right as long as you flush and give it some love and care after each ride it is very reliable. Jetsurf have always looked after me and I have owned 2 makes of jetboard and you can see why I own 2 jetsurf dfi. Fun fun fun.

    Couldn't use use a snorkel exhaust system and air intake on the petrol board like they do with some off-road vehicles so they don't ever have this flooding issue? Or create a one way flow tube so water can't enter but exhaust can exit only, like in a snorkel?

    About the question, an electric board, but light, would be the perfect board for me, but maybe in the near future...

    • @JetSurfingNation
      @JetSurfingNation  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are welcome. Unfortunately there is no such thing as "light" when it comes to electric, the battery is just too heavy. Maybe in future Elon Musk will surprise us with a better battery tech.

      @@JetSurfingNation www.esurf.com/ 25 kg... is that true? But yes, more than 20.000 euros...

    • @xjk5Mikel
      @xjk5Mikel 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JetSurfingNation I was visiting his web during years whith no news, but months ago, it seems that you can buy the board. I will never spent more than 20.000 euros in a board, but its interesting that weight...25 kg including the battery (battery 15+ board 10). The positive point is that a light board is possible!

    • @JetSurfingNation
      @JetSurfingNation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What we saw was a prototype and yes it was lightweight. However when making a mass production board you have to add a lot of layers of safety and pass certain certifications, all that adds a lot of weight.
